Dear Mr***, Thank you for bringing this to our attention and allowing our responseMs [redacted] hired us in March to address her business tax debtOnce we began the case it was discovered Ms [redacted] was also a victim of identity theftWe made her aware of the identity theft issue in April When the IRS flags a file for identity theft, additional paperwork is required before the IRS will allow work to be completedWe attempted for several months to work with Ms [redacted] to address not only the contracted for business tax issue but also the identity theft issueUnfortunately Ms [redacted] never provided any of the requested informationFinally after many months of attempted contact we did have to cancel Ms***'s fileHer cancellation was processed November We did not hear again from Ms [redacted] until February when she requested a refundIn regards to the complaint, I am happy to report that we have spoken with Ms [redacted] and have reached a resolutionThank you again for allowing our responsePlease contact me if any additional information is neededSincerely, [redacted] Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network

I have reviewed the business response, on 9/19/ [redacted] representing the tax defense network had not been able to return my calls ,when I filed with Revdex.com he contacted me and stated it would take a a couple months to resolve and he took a bullying tone with me I reviewed the process I had been put through , and he emphasized that no one else had complained about tax defense and stated I was happy with the servicewhen I reviewed with him in august about what had happened he took a bullying tone with me then I told him that I cold have made offer and compromise, and he again state that this was very difficult again bullying tone, told me if I had not filed a complaint it would have been easier to resolve., NOw another person has stepped in and called yesterday,3/13/2014, this is the contact that was made and they left a message [redacted]

Ms [redacted] Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and allowing this responseWe have been in communication with Mrs [redacted] Discussing the issues raised in her complaintWith the complaint there were three issues to addressThe first issue was with the amount of time it took to complete the caseMrs [redacted] 's tax debt was under examinations with the IRSWhile a tax debt is in examinations, nothing can be done with the taxesThe tax debt is in a holding periodOur apology to Mrs [redacted] for this issueWe shared the same frustrations regarding this unnecessarily slow IRS processThe next issue was the IRS paymentMrs [redacted] discusses how she was able to achieve an IRS payment lower than the one established by Tax Defense Network ("TDN")The IRS arrangement made by TDN for Mrs [redacted] was established eight months before this complaintSince this arrangement was established Mrs [redacted] has filed her tax returnWith this return she was due to receive a refundThe IRS took this refund, standard practice, and applied it toward her tax balanceThis refund, along with ongoing payments, lowered Mrs [redacted] 's overall tax liabilityThis tax reduction allowed for a lower payment to the IRSI have discussed this with Mrs [redacted] and she understands The last issue, the $5,under reporting penaltyThis penalty existed because of how Mrs [redacted] 's tax return was filedMrs [redacted] believed that some income she had received was non taxable and did not include this income on her returnThis was an honest mistake and not done by Mrs [redacted] as an attempt to avoid any taxAddressing this penalty was one of the main reasons Mrs [redacted] contacted TDNWhen I reviewed her file I did feel more could have been done to address this penalty and the penalties removalWhen I spoke with Mrs [redacted] I told her my thoughts regarding the penalty and gave her two optionsI could re-open the case with more effort applied to having the penalty removed or I could refund back a portion of her fee paid to TDNMrs [redacted] elected to take the refundWe have complied with Mrs [redacted] and are currently working on processing her refund Thank you again for bringing this complaint to our attentionPlease let us know if any additional information is required Sincerely, [redacted] Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network
