Tax Edge Inc. is a tax resolution company that purports to provide tax resolution services to taxpayers that owe balances to federal and State taxing authorities.
Mr. paid the fees requested by Tax Edge to open a case, and after accepting the fees, the company has had little contact with Mr.. Over the last several months, the company has been unresponsive to Mr.' repeated phone calls about his case. On 11/27/17, Mr.' CPA also contacted the company by email to request that the company respond to Mr.' inquiries regarding his case. There has been no reply to the CPA's email.
It is unclear whether Tax Edge Inc. has performed any work to resolve Mr.' case, and the status of the case is unknown due to the company's non-responsiveness.
Regarding the statement of the problem as stated by the client:
It indicated that Mr. paid the fees required to open a case. While it is true that he paid the fees to begin a case, we did perform that analysis fully as contracted and close that phase of the case work. From there, we transitioned to the second phase, which was to prepare an Offer in Compromise, and Mr. had not paid these fees in full at the time of the complaint. As of now, he has, and we have continued with finishing our case work. Additionally, it is important that Mr. contact only our main contact number, since we were not aware that he had been leaving messages for an employee that is no longer in our employ, and we have communicated the importance of going through our main switchboard with Mr. and his accountant in order to resolve this issue. As far as Mr.’s CPA, he emailed us on December 13, and we responded to him on the same day. He seemed satisfied that we were working appropriately on the case, and we were not even aware that a complaint had been created until we received the second notice request today.
Regarding the Desired Outcome as listed by the client:
As far as desired outcome, we have worked on the Offer In Compromise exactly as agreed to, even going beyond the normal requirements and making an exception in Mr.’s case (which normally requires a payment in full before proceeding on the case work). As of this time, Mr. has paid the remaining balance after our email communication was received by his CPA, so we are able to complete the case work and we will be presenting the list of final documents we are needing on December 29, 2017 for Mr. to supply to us in order to complete his case for final submission to the IRS.
We are not sure why a complaint was filed, but if you can please let us know if you need additional information, we would be happy to supply it. (We can provide a complete copy of the email from his CPA as well as our response the same day, if needed, for example).
