Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/01/05) */ We the Tax Group Center have received Mr [redacted] 's complaint; please accept this as our formal responseMr [redacted] was billed according to the Refund and Cancellation Policy Section Cleary notated in the Service Agreement he signedHe was not charged the Initial Consultation fee of $and it was discounted on the Invoice he receivedWe did make initial contact with the IRS and NY State taxing authorities as well has filed the Power of Attorney's with them, there was an issue with the NY Power of attorney which we were currently working on resolving that matter with Mr [redacted] directly with preparing and sending Mr [redacted] a new NY Power of Attorney form along with the NY Financial Statement form that his Enrolled Agent prepared, then he requested to cancel his caseWe have made every effort to try and resolve any issues Mr [redacted] has and try to work toward a resolution and will be more than happy to continue working on his case, if he will just send back the updated NY Power of Attorney formOtherwise, his case will remain closedWe look forward to resolving this in a timely manner.- Thank you, Tax Group Center Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/01/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) the tax group center has done nothing in months.all they have done is collect from me.I have the invoice and was charged for the initial consultation fee.the people at the tax group lie,cheat steal.they did not have any contact with the i.r.s or new york state that meant anything for they had not recivied power of attorney whitch is the first step in a tax resolution case.so I payed 1600.00, could not even get the power of attorney done right.these people also lost all paper work that I completed, and charged me to go over information on the phone that I had sent overnight mail.they are not currently working with me on resolving the matter with preparing and sending power of attorney to new york state as they state in there response , another lie.with all the time and money I spent with these people I would never let them work for me.with all the lies and lost paperwork and time and money I have invested, I want all back.I will never let this matter rest until I have recivied a full refund.there are many other things I could state but I want to keep it to my self as I will talk to an attorney about this scam of a company

We the tax group center have received [redacted] complaintPlease accept this as our formal responseMr [redacted] contacted us back in July 2016, to prepare his missing 2009-personal federal and state tax returns, and assonated with his delinquent tax mattersClient then requested us to file his federal and state tax returns, and add assist with his tax liabilityWe prepared and filed his 2009-tax returns, as well as We got him on an Installment Agreement with the IRSTGC has rendered all services per the services agreementsAccording to the services agreement, we ask that all clients return documents by a deadline, or subject to late charges, and case can be cancelClient then requested to cancel, we sent him an invoice him per the services agreements for services rendered and a mutual release for the refund that is due back to himHe didn't agree with the refund amount and refuse to return the Mutual Release, so we can release his refundWe look forward to settling this matter with him and ask that he please return the Mutual Release so we can process his refund

I am very pleased with the help I received from The Tax Group [redacted] has been more than understanding and has worked with me to get thru all sorts of obstacles and [redacted] got down in the trenches for me and saved me from the state and the IRS She worked overnight and wouldn't stop until the job was done

Tax Group Center has received [redacted] ***’s complaintPlease accept this as our formal response*** [redacted] first contracted us back in September to help with a resolution for her Federal and State tax liability for 2000-with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)*** [redacted] then entered an additional services agreement with Tax Group Center in December for us to prepare her tax returnWe then completed, prepared, and sent all documents needed to prepare the return, including all questionnaire worksheets, tax organizers, and financial statements*** [redacted] sent back tax organizers with supporting documents however without her signature page which is required to verify her financesWe requested the signature page from *** [redacted] several times; but without the signature page her tax return could not be validly preparedOur Tax Preparation Department did file a tax filing extension for 2016, and the enrolled agent appointed on her case did speak with the state appointed income specialist assigned to her caseThe state put her on a day hardship hold for her State tax liability*** [redacted] as of the date of this response has yet to return the signature page, and her case was placed on suspension due to not having the proper documentationWe left several messages and emails regarding her caseClient still hasn’t respondWe look forward to settling this matter with ***Thank you

Good day , I have called the business of the Tax Group and it was confirmed by [redacted] that the case has been closed and all fees have been paid

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Tax Group Center said they would negotiate a settlement with the IRSSent me information on how many people they got tax relief for and said over and over how “according to my documents” I would only have to pay a couple hundred dollars to settleThen after milking me for everything they could, and costing me a lot more in interest and penalties from the IRS by stalling it for so long, told me I don't qualifyThat's when I told them since they did nothing that they said they were going to, I want my money backI didn't “cancel” anythingAs “per the service agreements” were not even available to me until after they took my money and is not at all what they told me me on the phoneI have a witness that listened in on the phone calls and some recordingI could have called the IRS and set up a payment plan, but that is not what they said they were going to doThey suggested I pay with my credit card so I would have nothing available to give the IRS, To help with “The settlement”, as such the interest on my cards is costing me $a monthI think it's not at all unreasonable to at least get a full refundThey want me to accept cents on the dollar and sign a ”Mutual Release” that would not allow me to take any action or even say anything bad about them “IE Shut me up” so they can go on ripping people offI believe they should be stopped, and in jail, however I would like to stop the bleeding and would reluctantly sign it, but not for anything less than a full refund, which doesn't come close to what they have cost me Sincerely, [redacted]

The girl who called me was very rude and short with meShe lied and said the IRS had called them to report me for not filing my taxesWanted my credit card number to check the balance, after finding out how much I had available she lowered the cost of the service so I could use my card(After hanging up I did call and report the card stolen!) Tried to be very intimidating! After to speaking to another gentleman I felt better as he told me I could research the company first and call backI do not trust fast talkers and sure did not trust her! I've done my research and have decided to go through the IRS to resolve my tax issue

A payment was withdrawn from my account despite my prior requests to not have the payment withdrawnI opened a fraud case with my bank, [redacted] , and was able to get the $that was withdrawn back in my accountI have also placed this account in denied status with [redacted] should any further withdrawals be attempted

They are a fraudThey request the same information over an over and claim they never get itThe call you every other month to try to get more money from youThey argue with you, yell at you, and treat you like ***They are not at all customer service friendly Nothing ever gets doneThey never let you see billing or give you updates on who they are talking to at the IRS if they really are talking to the IRS Avoid at all costs

Tax Group Center has received [redacted] complaint, please accept this as our formal responseWe have reviewed [redacted] case and his concerns; to note: [redacted] originally contracted our company to assist him with his [redacted] tax liabilities only It was not until quite some time afterwards, did [redacted] request assistance with his state tax matters Since the original contract was already executed for different services, it is our company policy that current client execute an extended service or additional service agreement to incorporate new services which is what occurred in this present caseBecause [redacted] is requesting to cancel his case, Tax Group Center will be issuing him an invoice that will detail all the work that was performed on his behalf with corresponding dates, times for completion and corresponding billing amounts in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Section of his Service Agreements(s)Any refund due to [redacted] will be stated in the Invoice of work completed We look forward to resolving this in a timely manner Best Tax Group Center
