Per our phone conversation, again, I must apologize for not getting back to Revdex.com sooner in response to communications. My son was in the hospital and I was unable to get to respond to my emails sooner. Steve of Safe and Warm and his partner, did come on 10/31/2017, and replaced the product with the correct size.We have not been able to test it to see if this replacement took care of the water reaching inside the house; as it has not rained as much. If, we do get a lot of rain, and if we still get water inside the house, I will be sure to reach out to Steve at Safe and Warm. However, the job was completed in an excellent manner and I am very pleased. There is still one concern that needs to be addressed by Safe and Warm. On 10/31/2017, when they were placing back all shingles. They realized that they were missing one shingle, they searched everywhere, even in their truck, and out on the grass, but did not find it. Steve’s partner said a few times that the only thing he could think of that it fell into the cathedral box. But Steve kept saying that it’s impossible because he checked and it was not there. Here is my concern, the box is black, the shingle is black and if it was possible that the shingle may have fallen into the box upright against the wall, unless he was looking for it specifically from all angles, then, there is a big chance that it was missed. But Steve kept saying that it’s not there. I do want to believe Steve. However, since they even searched in their garbage in the truck, his partner and I were in agreement that there is a big possibility that it’s in the cathedral box.I asked Steve to please look inside but he said no, because it was not in the box. I asked Steve if it was safe for me to use my wood stove if the shingle was in the box. He said that would start a fire and that it would not be a problem. I was able to do research on shingles and the searches returned this information: Yes, shingles are flammable, but are fire resistant. Explanation: it is highly recommended not to burn the asphalt shingles because some of them contain asbestos and is highly toxic. As you can understand, I have no way of knowing unless I pay to have my shingles tested to find out if these are highly toxic or not. I am not going to take the chance and this is a safety issue to me. In addition, I am unable to use my woodstove because of this concern. Regarding the shingle, they had samples in their truck, and they said they were able to match it up and will return when they buy the shingle to replace. I asked them to please not take too long on getting this replaced. In one of my recent text communications to Steve, I requested that when they were ready to return, to please make an appointment with me because I want to be here and to please check for obstructions in the cathedral box. I have not heard back about my request and I am still waiting for an answer since my text sent on Nov 9th. I am assuming that this is because of his busy schedule. Steve and his partner are very respectful individuals and I do appreciate the time attention they have provided when they do. I hope we can get this resolved as soon as possible so that we can all move on from this. This is still pending. Respectfully yours, *** *** ***
