My wife and I engaged the services of Walter Wotman to resolve issues that we were having with the IRSWe are Canadian citizens who inherited property in the US and decided to subdivide itWe were advised by the County once the subdivision was completed that we would most likely require a business license as it had changed from a privately owned land to a commercial ventureWe then applied for a business license but decided to hold off on proceeding with any lot sales until the market improvedSince we did not have any income or expenses after applying for a business license and not being familiar with US tax law we did not file any tax returnsWe then were fined over $60,for not filing two years of no income returns To resolve this and file the necessary tax returns we engage a large local Canadian firm that specialized in US taxThe returns were filed but they were unable to assist us in recovering the penalties In despair, we then contacted a large number of Canadian and US accounting firms, all to no availFinally one firm who I was speaking to, said that if anyone help us it would be Walter Wotman and Tax ChampionsI explained our situation to Walter and he thought he would be able to assist us and would discuss our situation with his firm’s partners Not only was he able to straighten out tax returns but he was successful in recovering all penalties with interest!
