Taxi Express

Review: On April 3, 2014 I used Taxi Express service to take me to [redacted] airport from my work in [redacted], PA. The driver was late because he could not find my work address and called me for directions. I had made it clear to the business owner [redacted], prior to my reservation, that I will need a receipt since this is a business expense and he reassured me that I will be provided with a receipt. However, when we arrived at the airport the driver [redacted], stated that he is out of receipts and that he can just write on a piece of paper that he gave me a ride. I took the piece of paper with his signature but demanded an official receipt. He took my fax number and reassured me that he will fax my receipt the following business day. The fax with the receipt was never received, I called again today April 07, 2014 and was told he will fax a receipt today and that he forgot. He was also very rude and hung up the phone on me when I was explaining how important that was. Needless to say I never received the receipt. When I called their number after work today at 6pm a female picked up the phone and presented herself as the dispatcher. She said the person in charge of the business is not available now and I will need to call in the morning next day.Desired Settlement: I need to be provided with an official receipt for the service that I paid for.

Review: When I spoke with the driver on the phone he said that his taxi service will be 1.75 per mile and based on my trip should be less than 100. Once he arrived he immediately started driving and explain to me his prices. He said that I get to pick between paying 1.75 per mile with a 2 dollar charge for simply sitting in the cab or pay 110 dollars for the entire trip. I asked him why it was so expensive and the change in price, he said that it was saturday and that he's busy and there will be traffic. I immediately pulled up my phone to check which of the two options he gave me was cheaper, my GPS showed that the trip was roughly 30 miles, so the 110 was outrageous. When I explained to him that I wanted for him to charge me with the 1.75 per mile with the 2 dollar charge, he said that it was way too late and that he was already driving. Suddenly he started going in a completely opposite directly than what my GPS had routed us for (my GPS was set for the shortest distant), I told him to turn around and that he's taking the longer route, he replied that he is not familiar with the route on my GPS, so therefore he will be taking us his way. But after insisting that he turned around, he got irate and asked me my nationality, when I replied [redacted], he said "Oh that's why you're like this, [redacted] and [redacted] are not like you people." I immediately asked him to drop me off, but he resisted and said that he will not drop us off until we pay him for his trip to us. I told him that if he doesn't drop us off I'll call the police. Once he started getting more irate and loud, I gave him a 40 and said here let us off. He quickly pulls over and drops us off and rushes off. This incident has caused me to have restless nights and has contributed negatively to my health.Desired Settlement: I want a refund because what he did was unacceptable. He practically forced me to pay him. I was simply trying for him to provide me with fair service, but instead all he did was harassed me and did everything he could to scam me.
