In response to ***'s complaint, I have some information that will shed light on the situation First off, we have
not vanished I have locations in Terre Haute that I operate out of - one is a year round location and one is seasonal The location that *** went to have her taxes prepared was the seasonal location And just as I do every year, I shut that location down, turn off the utilities (to save money) and forward all phone numbers to the year round location We also return every phone call that is made to our office that someone leaves a voice mail on We also do not delete any voice mails I went back through our call history for April and May and have no record of any calls or voice mails from ***
That being said, the delay on their tax refund check was not on our end She had filed an injured spouse form (a form that protects one spouse's portion of the refund from the other spouse's delinquent debts) which, as it was explained to her at the time of her tax return, can delay a return for up to weeks As soon as the IRS releases the money, the taxpayer receives their refund We have nothing to do with the delay
As of the date of this email and response, *** has since received her portion of the refund from the IRS
