We had to buy a new washer/dryer set last yearWe needed something that could take a beatingWe also wanted to buy local if possibleWe went with Taylor Appliance here in RiversideWe bought a GE set with an extended warrantyNot cheap, but worked wellThe dryer quit on us last Tuesday, July 17, I called Taylors only to find that they have gotten rid of their service department and have contracted outIt took till Thursday for the contracted company to contact usThey came Friday, I’m expecting it to be fixedNope, the guy was quite rude, said he needs to order a part, - working days! That is forever without a dryerHe left no paperworkOut the door, byeHe was from a company called KW Appliance ServiceThey don’t work weekends and they only order from their own manufacturerIt’s easier for them to track costs that waySo happy it works better for themI called Taylors back, the woman was nice, but to her it’s like that’s just how long it takes!? If we had bought from a big box store, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy etcthis would not be happeningI said our machine is not old, why aren’t parts on hand? It only needs a thermostatShe said well you did by it April Are you kidding me!? That is still pretty newNever againIt’s now Monday and no word, but they said they don’t work weekends and won’t get the part ordered from the east coast till this weekWe live in Riverside, CaliforniaGoing to the laundry mat is up there with going to the DMV! Ughthey sold us on their customer service, huge disappointmentAlso disappointing that they find this acceptable customer service
I just purchased a new Speed Queen washer and dryerSpeed Queen product prices are fixed by the manufacturer, but the salesman (Denny) was quite helpful and arranged for free delivery, parts and hookupTaylors was the only store in the surrounding area with the matching set in stock, so I was promised a next day deliveryGreat experience
