Review: I placed an order for a custom made fireplace screen - the [redacted] came to my house and measured one week later. The screen was to be ordered that Monday. I called that Monday and canceled the order due to the fact that when the [redacted] came to measure he was quite annoyed about having to be there (rainy Sat morning) and when I asked a question relative to the screen, he snapped at me and asked din;t I remember what I ordered. I am a woman alone and felt very intimidated with this person. I decided that I did not want to pursue a relationship with this company going forward and have them order and install the door. I placed an order with a company that is a little further from my home ([redacted]), but ordered the screen, and have it installed already with no issue. There is a sales receipt with the date of October [redacted], the date I went into the store, and then clearly states another date (nov *) when they would come to measure. They are keeping my deposit of $741.00 because they say I did not dance within three days of the order. Well, they NEVER placed an order, since they only measured on Nov [redacted]. In fact, this is completely disputable because their receipt indicates that cancellations of orders must be made within three days - They are saying I ordered the door on October [redacted] - but again they had no measurements, so how did they order the door?? I cancelled the order on Nov * that Monday. they have taken my deposit of $741.00. They never placed an order, and I received nothing in return for my money - they are thieves or just took an innocent, hard working, single woman's money (again, how could they take that amount of money, and the customer receives NOTHING!!!Desired Settlement: I would like for them to do the right thing, and return my money. In good conscious, how could they take that money and not give the customer anything in return - they are out nothing - they are a business - I am a single person struggling - and can't afford to lose that kind go money. They are nasty, the woman on the phone told me that we are going to dispute this and you will lose. What a nasty, nasty attitude for a community business.Thank you for your time.Sincerely,[redacted]

In response to the above dispute, we in good faith will refund the customer her initial deposit amount of $741.00. (in form of a check) We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and are very sorry that the customer is not happy. We do have a 3 day cancellation policy , which is important for us with custom orders as you can understand. [redacted]
