Taylor's Wine Stop

On 8/23/15 I made a purchase at[redacted]. As a store rewards member, I was given a [redacted] reward coupon..for "30 cents off per gallon of gas redeemable at your local ** - 20 gallon limit" I immediately visited the first ** station I saw ... Taylors Wine Shop and ** Fuels. I followed the directions, given by the store clerk, to redeem my coupon. Regular gas was advertised as $2.39 per gallon. Thus, with my coupon the cost would be $2.09 per gallon. I selected the regular gas. Yet, when I received my receipt it showed the price to be $2.54 per gallon (instead of $2.39). I am certain that I selected regular gas - which is my normal and regular type gas used in my automobile! I have been cheated! I received regular gas but was charged for gold level. When I spoke with the store's representative, he told me that my receipt reflected gold. While that is absolutely true, it is also false. I did get gas. I did have a coupon for 30 cents off. However, I did not select gold. I would like to make the public aware to be careful and watch when visiting this location.I was charged $2.549 x 8.812 = $22.46 I should have been charged ...$2.39 - $0.30 = $2.09 x 8.812 = $18.41Difference $4.05Desired SettlementI would like to place this location on notice that cheating customers is not acceptable. I would like my refund Since the initial reporting of this incident, I have spoken with a representative from the company. They have assured me that this is not their normal practice and have invited the appropriate agencies to visit their site to inspect their gas pumps. They offered to make restitution (of my choice) in order that I would be a satisfied customer. I am completely accepting of this update from the company (owner's son) and I believe in the sincerity of his explanation of how/why their pumps are secured as tamper proof. While still unexplained about the events which I experienced, I must say that I feel confident that the company is focused on maintaining a reliable place of business. At the very least, their customer service is outstanding - in that their desire is to make sure the customer receives outstanding service. If I should find myself in this area of North Carolina, I would feel comfortable in purchasing from them. I do not require any type of restitution. Thank you for your assistance!
