Review: Roof was replaced. Problem with the clean-up. Contact with **. [redacted] resulted in an e-mail on May 3rd stating he was dissatisfied with the work of his employees and assured they would be out the next day to finish the job. A fee of $250 was reduced from the overall bill. Once job was completed, I had a leak in our upstairs hallway after heavy rain and wind. I contacted [redacted] and he stated that he would send his employee [redacted] to my home on June 21, 2013. [redacted] arrived as agreed and inspected the ceiling. He went into the attic to see if he could located the water. This was on a day when it was not raining and the temperture in the attic was probably close to 90 degrees or more. [redacted] stated he could not locate anything and the water spot could have been there for a year or more. [redacted] did not go on the roof to see if possibly there were loose or unsecured shingles. I asked him to leave and called the [redacted] Company once again. [redacted] asked me to hold the check and that he would come out on June 24th to inspect the celing and pick up the check. I received a call on the 24th canceling his appointment. I heard nothing from the [redacted] Company until I received a threatening letter on July 5th stating if payment was not received within 10 days, they would turn the collection over to their attorney. The check for $8,070.00 was mailed on July 6, 2013 and cashed on July 9, 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like the roof inspected and the water spot examine by someone other than [redacted]. If determined there was a problem, I would like the ceiling repaired and if there was no fault of the roofers, I would like in writing, an explaination and an apology for how this was handled.

Dear **. [redacted].

I apologize for the delay in getting this response to you; I needed to gather information from a few people.

We completed **. [redacted] s job and we e-mailed his invoice on May 2nd. On May 3rd, he sent an e-mail to let us know that some soffit work was not completed and there was trash left on the roof. These items were completed by May 8th and **. [redacted] sent an e-mail confirming the completion.

Around 6/21, we called **. [redacted] to check on payment status. **. [redacted] said that he never received and invoice and that he had a leak. We e-mailed the invoice to him again and made arrangements to send [redacted] out to take a look. [redacted] did not see anything wrong with the roof.

We have not heard anything more from **. [redacted] about any leaks.

We stand behind our five year labor warranty.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

**. [redacted]’s letter is not accurate and it took him three months to respond. He did not e-mail an invoice to me on May 2, 2013 as he stated. In fact on May 3, 2013, I contacted him by email stating the job was incomplete. The soffit was not repaired and there was debris around my house, in the rain gutters, etc. **. [redacted]’s response and I quote (copied from his response to my May 3, 2013 e-mail):

“I sincerely apologize for the manner the job was left this morning, I saw this in the a.m. after the crew left, I called and demanded they have this fix and better cleaned up no later than this afternoon. He assured me he would. However it is apparent he did not. I assure you at the absolute latest this will be accomplished by Monday mid day. As an apology I will look over the proposal to give you a discount for this inconvenience”.

How could **. [redacted] supply an invoice the DAY BEFORE he said he was going to adjust it? I will not pay for something until provided with an accurate invoice that verifies what payment is due. I didn’t ask for a credit. I just wanted the job I was paying for done in the manor that we agreed upon.

In addition, after a heavy rain, there was a wet spot on my upstairs ceiling. I contacted **. [redacted]’s office and received an e-mail response from [redacted] stating that “[redacted]” would be out on June 21, 2013. “[redacted]” did not go on the roof to see if there was a problem and stated the leak could have been there a long time. I asked him to leave my property and again called the office. **. [redacted] said he would come to my home on June 24, 2013 however; I received a call that [redacted] (**. [redacted]) was CANCELLING the appointment.

The next time I heard from [redacted] Roofing was upon receipt of a threatening letter and an invoice on July 5, 2013. This letter said my payment was past due and that I would be turned over to an attorney for collection. I again e-mailed **. [redacted] regarding the threatening letter and the leak that was still on my ceiling. I told him the ball was in his court! I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL!

I pay all of my bills on time and have an excellent credit rating. I do not appreciate being threatened. The check for PAYMENT IN FULL was mailed to **. [redacted] on July 6, 2013. Unfortunately, I felt that once payment was made, there were no other issues according to **. [redacted].

I would like someone, other than [redacted], to come by and thoroughly check the roof to make sure all the shingles are secure and that everything is the way it is supposed to be.

Regards,

Business

Response:

Company called to say it would be by to check the roof, as requested.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not heard from the business regarding their response "to come by and check the roof". I belive a two (2) period (11.27.2013 throuhg 12.11.2013) should be sufficient for them to come by and check the roof.

If I have not heard from them in this time frame I will contact the Revdex.com for further action.

Also, I would request that my complaint become part of this company's file so that others may judge the response and time frame of the response for this company.

Please contact me if there is a problem with this request.

Regards,

Business
