application on all areas.  Window sills were scraped to the degree that was safe so as to not destroy the integrity of the sill itself.  The debris from power washing was picked up as requested.  I met with the customer regarding the gutter that we fixed and the customer okayed the repair.   Every effort possible on our part was exerted to satisfy the customer.  Due to the customer's dissatisfaction with our work, we will not pursue collecting the outstanding balance.

Review: I hired [redacted] and his associate, [redacted], to paint the trim of my house and shed. They did not ask for a contract or provide licensing information, so this should have been a major red flag, but they were recommended to us by a friend so we went ahead. [redacted] said that the job was complete on July 17. The morning of July 18, I surveyed the work and found paint all over my window glass and vinyl siding, areas of the trim that were never painted, areas that were not scraped before painting, and large amounts of roofing tar on my deck. In addition to this, one of my gutters had been visibly bent by them. I wrote [redacted] in regards to these issues, and he agreed to come out to correct the issues on July 19. On the night of July 19, I received another message saying the work was done. The morning of July 20, I once again went out to check the work only to find the same issues. Instead of replacing the bent portion of the gutter, a shoddy attempt at bending it back was made. The sides of all trim were still not painted; they were a combination of exposed wood and leftover paint from the original color. The windows were not re-scraped. The unpainted areas remained. The only work that appears to have been done on that day was the removal of paint from my window glass and touching up poor cut ins on the shed. [redacted] has since informed me that he will be taking legal action if payment is not received by 8/11.Desired Settlement: I was content to allow [redacted] and his associate, whom I still have not received licensing or business information from, to keep the deposit as some work was done. Since then, he has threatened me with legal action despite being unable to complete the job. I simply want this issue dropped. I am willing to eat the deposit despite the sub-par work that was performed.
