Roof coating repair jobs come with a very strict warranty and requirements to maintain that warranty. In our warranty agreement with your New York based management company, management is required to notify us of ANY work to be performed on the roof with any contractor or maintenance people PRIOR to working on the roof. There is also a mandatory inspection fee and inspection after the work is complete. There was a new HVAC system and electrical conduit run on top of the roof all without the required prior notification. To make it worse we were not notified the work had ever been done until we discovered it answering the warranty call you claim we didn't answer. Even though you the terms of the warranty agreement was violated 3 different ways we applied some material to the areas previously covered under warranty and areas not covered under warranty. We also informed you at that time that the other areas that were not repaired and not under the original warranty were also now showing signs of failure. We even applied some coating to an area that wasn't paid for in the previous repair. Your commercial partial roof coating does not cover the entire roof. It only covers areas that were coated and worked on. We originally suggested a full roof coating over the entire roof but we worked with you on a partial roof coating repair while leaving other areas alone that would fail in the near future. Due to your budgetary constraints and the cost of doing a full coating job warrantied by the manufacturer we performed the repairs to the most severe areas. TBAR stands behind our work and since 1990 we always have. We answer every warranty call regardless of the circumstance as we did here. This is the only complaint TBAR has anywhere on the internet and it is an unjust and unfair one at that.
