In October 2015, I hired Mr [redacted] with TBE Associates LLC as contractor to remodel my master & guest bathrooms. The initial deadline to complete project was November 2016. For the first few weeks, Mr [redacted] only a few hours for 1-2 days per week. Then he disclosed he was still working another project. We did not meet initial deadline to complete before Thanksgiving not did we meet 2nd deadline to complete before Christmas. Mr. [redacted] abandoned the project and did not complete. I fired him on January 1, 2016 Because he failed to return to complete project as promised. The quality of the work was poor And needed correction. I had to pay an additional $3900 to hire another contractor to fix the issues and complete the project. Issues needing correction: 1. The flooring wher he installed tile in both bathrooms were I leveled & grout already cracking. He did not use backer board to level the floors 2. He placed tile over vents in each bathroom and left them covered. 3. He cut bottom of master closet door unevenly. 4. He used grout around tubs and shower instead of caulking 5. Paint job was done poorly, missing spots & color uneven. 6. Did not tile floor in guest bathroom closet after removing vinyl. 7. Did not repair ceiling from where shower stall was removed. 8. Some of subway tile was uneven & had to be replaced. 8. I paid him extra $ for glass shower door that he did not order and quartz counter tops that were installed in both bathrooms but did not pay for them. He gave me back part of $ for these but not all. The counter top company threatened to sue me because the counters weren't paid for and I had no clue. I called the company regarding glass shower door and this is how I found out he didn't order them. There were a few minor additional issues needing correction. I attempted to work with him and gave ample opportunity to come fix the issues and/or refund me some $ to get the issues resolved correctly and project completed.Product_Or_Service: Bathroom remodelsDesired SettlementI would like for Mr [redacted] to refund me the remaining $50 owed for the glass shower door he never ordered and the $749 remaining to reimburse me for the difference to cover amount owed on Quartz counter tops (he owed $1500 for the counters but only sent me half of the $). I am also seeking some money (half of $3900) to reimburse me for the money I paid the new contractors to fix the issues he created and finish the project.
