Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and how do I respond to that?! They agreed that I am right?! My understanding is the company is in financial dire straitsI was told by Jason G***
that his father in law, owner of the company “wants to make things right”I have waited and waited for them to make things right! If they will, then that is awesome but I am not sure that it’s not just another stall tactic?? Please let me know where I go from here. Sincerely, *** ***

Complete truth ms*** is right

Ms. [redacted] has violated nearly every payment term of the contract she signed. The initial contract was for 3,300 dollars to build a deck and extend a small section of roof. The cost of roof repair became much higher than it was initially estimated at. We informed Ms. [redacted] of the new cost. She...

did not wish to have the roof done so we subtracted the 300 dollars we had budgeted for the roof. We then completed the deck all except staining the deck. We asked for a progress payment of 1300 dollars to be made holding out 50 dollars to stain the deck, when weather permitted. Mrs. [redacted] has been unreachable and unreasonable. Our cost of material is more than the initial 1650 dollars Ms Cambell paid. We are more than happy to fix any issues that are not up to code if that indeed is the case. We have had no contact with Ms. [redacted] after trying to contact her every day for a week. We did the work on time and on budget and she simply does not have the money to pay us. She is trying to justify not paying us by making up complete and total lies about the company. We held up our end of the contract and it is her turn to hold up hers. We are in contact with our attorney and they are currently drawing up a payment letter to try and settle prior to small claims court. We did a great job for Ms. [redacted] on time and on budget. If she is unable to make the payment all she has to do is contact our office at 509.413.2851. We will be happy to fix any work that needs to be fixed and work out a payment solution to this problem. If we fail to hear from Ms. [redacted] we will have no choice but to take this contract to court.

I was contacted by Jason G[redacted] and he promised to make it right.. All the appointments or meetings were always a no show or cancelled by Jason.  The last call to set up a meeting was Monday December 4. That was to cancel Monday’s meeting to Tuesday. When he didn’t show Tuesday I sent a text “ Forget something”. He called and had another excuse. I have not heard from him since. Jason seems to promise but can never fulfill his obligations.    I had hoped he could just clean up the mess. I postponed other contractors so he could finish. If he can’t manage his company to complete the job correct I guess it is time to go forward.

Hello, I just received an email stating that you are closing my complaint. That is not fair to me, just because I haven’t responded yet! First I  receive a notice that you pulled my bad review on the horrid TC Contracting. Now you are closing my complaint?!  I did not respond because I am waiting for SOME kind of action by the owner of the company other than his “word”! Just because this man states he is “putting together a plan” to take care of his customers does NOT mean it will happen!! I have had HUNDREDS of false promises and flat out LIES from Jason G[redacted] for OVER A YEAR now!! He was given $20,000 for a project that he has been promising all kinds of actions on, but I have only received an inexpensive vinyl kitchen floor(with NO TRIM), some drywall work in my kitchen, and kitchen cabinets that still have not been completely installed and have sharp nails sticking out of!  This plan was put into motion Dec of 2016 and paid for April 17, 2017!! The week prior to paying him the $20k I payed $1700 for a gas fireplace conversion that took him until July to install and that isn’t even “complete”!  So NO! I AM NOT SATISFIED IN THE LEAST! I am waiting to see some results and have been since all action stopped in June/July!  I HAVE HAD NO KITCHEN SINCE THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE! Do you know how that alters your eating habits?  Eating out gets expensive and is not healthy! And microwaving your food is not ideal either! Please! I am pleading with you to stay with me on this and hold this company responsible for the hell I have been living with for the last 12 months! [redacted]

This is another example of what I am dealing with. Ms. [redacted] has been a victim of what I can only refer to as a  pyramid scam. I am sorry and I am working on a plan to either finish the job or pay her back.Rex R[redacted]wnerc

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: TC Contracting did not obtain a building permit to allow an inspection on the work that still is not completed. The company was not properly registered with a valid contractor's license at the time the contract was signed and the work began. The contract , invoice, estimate was found not to be valid as it was missing the contractor's license information.I was to receive a copy of the contract at signing and was told it would be emailed to me on 9/29/2017. I never received this contract until later when they were requesting payment. on November 2,2017. The contract was signed with a witness for $3300.00. This was to include the deck sealed and painted. The deck was inclusive of the stairwell to the basement door as all 1970 daylight basements . The deck is one entity and the attached stair guard for the basement is what is is stated as stairs on the estimate . I do have photographs of the original deck and work specified to the contractor. There was another estimate that did show the breakdown in more detail. The deck finished and the stairs finished and sealed would be $2900.00. for an additional $400.00 they were to extend and apply gutters to the front porch. I paid $1650.00 at the signing of the contract post dated to 10/03/2017.       The crew left the work on the deck Wednesday   The deck at this point does not meet code. I have photos of missing joist brackets. The ones that do have brackets that are not attached correctly.     The stairs do not meet code. All the stairs lean  in a downward to the concrete pad at the bottom. The first step is off one inch and the rest down to a least 1?4 '. Only one step was attempted to be shimmed and it is 1/2 " off level. The triangles on the sides of the stairs are from 7" to 8" that would let a child fall through. there are several cosmetic damages to the deck. The handrails were not attached correctly to allow a grip as you walk down the stairs or return back up. The deck was never sealed and painted . I have sealed and painted all horizontal surfaces to try and prevent any further damage. There is a gap of 5 inches between the deck and the stairs were a small child could fall through. This gap is 67" off the ground.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
