We are not a predatory tow companyWe were obtained by the shopping plazas property management company to remove any and all vehicles in the parking lot that say "For Sale"We have had this contract for over a year and have signs posted at every entranceThe stores have no say over the property
and if someone can leave their vehicle their with a for sale sign in themFurther more should some one want to leave their vehicle on such property they must contact the property management company and obtain a signed agreement and have the authorized tow company contacted to leave such vehicle on propertyAs for the towing of the vehicle being towed more then miles AIR RADIUS the driver at the time did not have keys to the proper lot that is designated to that area so had to secure vehicle at the other storage yardSo it is not left unattended and able to be broken in to or damaged.*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:I was inside the store shopping. I have contacted the CHP and Sacramento County Sherriff over this mater and both agencies agreed that this was something that the feel is Preditory Towing. It gives liberty to any tow service basically stealing a person's property and holding it for ransom just because they have a 'For Sale Sign' in the window.As far as the argument for the AIR RADIUS. We looked this up and it's 16 miles. I plan to take this to court as well. I did turn this into the Attorney General's office. This is a bad faith buisiness practice.They also charged above standard rates according to the county Sherriff's towing department.[redacted]

Company states: This area is a popular location for people to sell their cars. Also, there was another vehicle parked right by this one that had a for sale sign. My contract is with the Property Management company and they authorize us to tow on sight. People are not to sell their cars on this property. I actually saw the vehicle and then went to a Roseville location and when I came back which was over an hour later the car was still there. I did not have to wait that long but I did. I then proceeded to tow the vehicle. As noted in my previous response, I did not leave the vehicle in my satellite location because it is much safer in my Elk Grove lot. I follow everything by the book when conducting my business.

Review: While parked at Petsmart on Watt Ave. I was parked close to the street with a For Sale sign in the window. My car was towed. I found a paper sign with a tow service number on it and sure enough they had my car. I had to wait until they gave me a time to drive 17.5 miles to pick up my car. The bill was $350.00! When asked why they towed my car they told me if a car is parked facing the street in a private parking lot for more than an hour it can be towed. The stores had no issue, this was just a prowling predatory tow driver. The law also states your car cannot be towed further than 10 miles from the spot it was towed. (17.5 miles by road,16.5 radial). I called the CHP along with the county Sherrif & both agencies told me they would never tow for these reasons. This was a case of predatory towing.Desired Settlement: I want my money back along with this company being put on notice for their work practices.
