[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The sign was not posted as they mention "Directly in front of my car"The sign is actually posted at the corner by the entranceAs you stated your business is supposed to be open as you say 24-(office hours) and it is notWhether your people were busy or not my car was being kept all day after making numerous calls to have it releasedBasically holding my car hostageI guess to further make money off of the towThe reason for me calling the policeI called all day Saturday for someone to meet me at the lot. The two gentlemen showed up with no IDOne stating that he didn't have anything to do with the business he was just riding with the so called owner/manager/assistant whomever he wasSince the individual never identified himselfNeither had ID's nor did the vehicle they approached inAs far as "Why would someone show up with keys to a unmanned lot"? Great questionThe same reason why it's just a lot and not a office set up to release people's vehicles to show upI wasted hours waiting around at a lot with a few cars behind a gate Please see pics of the gentlemen that showed up with no IDRegards,Agai*** ***

May 22, In reference to the complaint filed by the mother of the son vehicle that was towedTCL Towing has been in Business for fifteen yearsTCL Towing is License and Bonded by *** ***s County Police DepartmentOur drivers are interviewed and criminal back ground checks are
run before hiring an employeeIn all the years in business we have complaints from customers that their vehicles were towed and we know they are not happy when they come to retrieve their vehicle from the storage lotTCL Towing & Recovery is a very upscale company and employee only respectful drivers and office staff.TCL Towing and Recovery has no reason to take a parking pass from a vehicle or put it on the floorDrivers cannot gain entrance to any vehicle in order to tow a vehicleWe take pictures of aii violations before the vehicle is hooked up to the tow truckAs for them to tell you they had no picture on file not sure if the picture had been downloaded in the computer at the time of the releaseThe picture of this vehicle was taken at 11:PM and the driver checked the rest of the property and towed a fire iane violation then returned to the property to fine the car he took the picture of still sitting with no parking permitWe have a lot of people that go and get their registration from vehicles then they place the permit on the floor and make a complaint the permit is in the car.As for the towing tirne that you said (***) scratched out and changed this did not happen by himtalked to the driver that towed the vehicle and that was the way he marked the time on the ticket also confirmed the time the vehicle was towed with the police department and the time recorded was AMif you like to confirm that time you may call ###-###-#### and give them impound 20128.As for *** he is an owner but that is his nicknameHe never uses the name ***There is also another silent partner that was out of town on businessAs for the storage of we are refunding the storage feeThe vehicle was towed at AM and released around PM thats min before the hoursBut the problem was that we did not release it back to you at PM it was released after the police came out then that would have put it after the hoursThe tow was valid tow and no refund will be rewarded. As for the towing regulation update laws we have a copy on fileI will be sure to have them disregardthe old copies. If you have any questions feel free to contact me any time at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####You may also reply by email at to ***Thank you

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Absolutely NO parking signs exist at or near any store in the [redacted] Shopping Center.  Curbs are painted to indicate fire lane UP TO A POINT   I was parked at a point BEYOND the painted curb  it was NOT a fire lane  and it was not parked in front of ANY storeI will send pictures to prove this.  Thank you for your time.

In response to the complaint by the customer TCL Towing & Recovery  has a towing agreement with the shopping center and in the agreement set fourth by the shopping center owners all vehicles must be parked in a marked parking space, this vehicle was parked in front of a store in the shopping center and all curb side parking in front of the stores is not a parking space and is a fire lane under the regulations of the fire Marshall. No refund will be processed at this time. Signs are posted in the shopping center explaining all parking rules and regulations.

We received her request to have the refund mailed to her home and the refund has been mailed

First of all this company is not my company I am the general manger only. We are a 24/7 days a week company and we are licensed and bonded by Prince Georges County of Maryland. I'm not sure who she talked to so I would need a name of a person to investigate the complaint. We answer our phones 24/7...

days a week our driver run motor club calls all-night and day. We do have a storage lot located in Temple Hills MD for the past 16 years. I don't understand her calling people a crook that is slander and could lead to a filing of a law suite . Please have a name when filing a complaint . You may have been calling the wrong company. If you have any questions you may reply to this complaint.

Dear Derrick Gregory of Revdex.comIn reference to case # [redacted] from [redacted]. [redacted]She did not give us any information to the car in question so I guess she is referring to the [redacted] silver in color, This vehicle that she owns was towed from [redacted] Shopping Center for no overnight...

parking / walk off, She stated that she was inside [redacted]. Her car was towed at 321 am and [redacted] inside of the restaurant is not open at that time of the morning and the drive threw is open 24/7 only during this time. She further said she was at [redacted]'s parking lot. The picture clearly show that she was parked in the parking space along [redacted] Road facing the apartment complex across the street and a parking enforcement sign was directly in front of her car. If she was in [redacted] she would have seen the tow truck hooking up the car but that is not where she was because the car was parked completely on the other side of the parking lot. You see no [redacted] in the pitcures. As for taking a picture of her Driver's License and registration to the vehicle is correct. We take a picture and forward the information to the office to be printed and attached to the original tow ticket and then the information for the vehicle is kept on file for one year, if the police department wants to request the information who the vehicle was release to at that time we are required to show them the information including a copy of the tow ticket. For the two guys that she claims showed up with no ID is false information. Both guys have ID and furthermore she did not ask if we had ID. Why would someone show up at the lot to release a car and have keys to the lot if they did not work for the company? For the time of releasing the car, she called the main office and at that time drivers was out on the road towing so I guess there was not a person available at that moment to release the car. The law requires that we be available to release vehicle's 24/7 days a week. We are available to release vehicle's 24/7 days a week we are never closed, it was just that everyone was busy at the moment that she showed at the lot.Are phones are answered 24/7 days a week with several roll over lines. If all lines are tied up it will roll into the answering service that a fight will flash and we will check the message and return the call.Signs are required by law to be posted and she dearly did not read the signs that were posted directly in front of her car. Stating no overnight parking or walk offs.At this time we are closing this complaint and no refund will be processed.if you have any questions fee! free to contact me at [redacted] or ###-###-####.Thank you

The reason call [redacted]. [redacted] was that in her original complaint she never mention what car was towed so | could not responded to her complaint without looking up the correct information. As for [redacted] coming across abrasive that did not happen only explained to the lady that the vehicle was towed for not having a parking permit and that is one of the towing violations that is in the property rules and regulations. further explained to her that we do not hold vehicles to collect extra storage. I told her that the vehicle should not been released to her without a notice from her son authorizing her to pick up her sons vehicle. As I explained in the last letter that we would refund the storage of 50.00 it was close to the 18 hours when the car was released, further understand about the new towing regulations that the State of Maryland and the County has changed and we do have a updated copy of the laws. I don't know why the old copy was stillon file but has now been disregard and new updated copy to on file. [redacted] as manager of TCL Towing & Recovery apologize to the customer for this misleading information. As for the towing license for TCL Towing & Recovery. The towing license was renewed with the county but was waiting on the county to set a date to have the medallions placed on the trucks. Everything is up to date as of this date. We will refund the full towing amount of 225.00. As for a herring date of June 5th, 2014 we never received a letter from the county for any herring date.If you have any questions feel free to call me anytime at ###-###-####Thank you

This tow is being refunded to the owner and the handicap space is being removed. Refund is being hand delivered back to the owner .

TCL Towing & Recovery, Inc. was hired as the tow contractor for the private community in which I reside in Prince George's County, MD. They were quickly fired after only a few months due to repeated violations and failure to rectify their behavior. Violations included, but were not limited to: failure to request/receive authorization for tows; expanding the limited tow hours to a 24-hour 7 day/week tow policy without authorization; refusal to accept credit card payments; car stalking; operating a tow truck with a child in the passenger seat; failure to provide agreed upon reimbursements; unavailability to car owners attempting to retrieve their vehicles; and refusal to provide employee names and/or converse with customers asking for the tow policy, among other violations. Interactions with this company, when combined with their illicit tow practices, reveal this company to be a predatory business.

As in response to the complaint about the sign. The county can state law requires a sign to be placed at each entrance to the property. The sign is posted and she could see the sign where she parked her car. The law requires the company to be open for the release of a vehicle 24/7 days a week. TCL Towing & Recovery is open 24/7 days week and we are licensed & Bonded by [redacted] County. We operate several locations and the phones are answered at the main office 24/7 days a week. [redacted] County has inspected all of are lots and we are in full compliance with [redacted] County. The County requires us to be available to release a vehicle back to an owner there is no set time frame the car needs to be released. We try to release everyone vehicle as quick as possible. We deal with many customers every day that are not happy when their car gets towed. We have contracts with many apartment complexes, shopping centers and much more. We are contracted to enforce their parking rules and regulations. I sorry this lady is unhappy but we have a job to do under are towing agreement and she should have read the sign and not parked and exited the property and went to another location. Nothing is open in the shopping center at the time in the morning she was towed except [redacted] drive in.I am a general manager and was the one who released her vehicle back to the lady. The law does not require me to show her my ID. The law requires me to see her ID and registration to prove she is the owner of the vehicle before we release the car back to the registered owner. If she was not the owner then we would not release the vehicle. As for the office we have an office on site in the building and we just walk out to the lot and release the vehicles but not required to have an office on site in the storage yard.We do not hold any vehicle to try and collect any extra storage rates are regulated by [redacted] County police and we cannot charge anyone extra money for storage. Her tow bill was $ 175.00 without storage and that is all she paid. Please read posted signs on properties before you leave your vehicle parked on private property. We will be refunding no tow fees this was a legal tow and signs are posted. We are closing this case until further notice. If you have any questions feel free to call us at TCL Towing & Recovery ###-###-####Thank you
