Review: Although this company has since gone bankrupt, I sincerely hope [redacted] and his company are never again allowed to open a business. Never have I dealt with a more unethical, dishonest, backwards person as Mr. [redacted] and his company. In April 2012, we purchased three trees and 12 holly bushes from Mr. [redacted]' company, totaling nearly $2000. All of our plants and trees, except one tree died a month later, and when we spoke with TD Landscape Design, they told us that since they did not plant the trees and shrubs and we were out of their "30 day policy" that we were "out of luck." Fast forward to May 2013...my husband was assured by Mr. [redacted] that he would credit us for the money we lost, if we contracted him to do some landscaping in our side yard, and at presentation of the his bid, Mr. [redacted] showed us where we had received credit, although not the full credit. Prior to ever beginning our landscaping job, the day the contract was signed Mr. [redacted] required over half the amount to be paid, and then the week before the project was started Mr. [redacted] needed my husband and my signatures on the final bid. My husband stopped by Mr. [redacted]' office and signed the contract, and when Mr. [redacted] could not reach me, due to my being at work, he contact my husband stating he (Mr. [redacted]) would just sign my name, so the funding of the project would go through and his company could start on our yard. Last time I checked, that's forgery - he did not have MY permission to sign MY name. Part of the contract was to prepare the sprinkler system to be raised so that it could water the plants Mr. [redacted]' workers were installing, however Mr. [redacted] never did this. Instead, Mr. [redacted]' crew installed the plants, trees and shrubs and covered all of the sprinkler heads, even breaking some. We did not realize this had occurred until about two weeks later when our plants and shrubs began to die. We called Mr. [redacted] regarding this matter, and he attempted to blame us for not paying or contracting him to deal with the sprinkler system, and we reminded him several times it was included in the bid. He finally did send a subcontractor out to fix our sprinkler system, which had in turn caused problems with the rest of our sprinkler system in the front yard, which we had to pay to have serviced. Also included in the bid, Mr. [redacted] was to do a small flowerbed between our two larger ones, which was referred to as an island. Three weeks after the side yard had been "finished" (and I say that lightly), Mr. [redacted] had still not completed our "island." After both my husband and I both contacting him numerous times a day for almost three weeks, he finally had a worker come and throw in a couple of cheap plants and some mulch - not what was expected according to our contract. He was disrespectful, rude and unethical in his dealings with us, and I have since spoken to many people who had similar, if not worse, experiences with him. Quite frankly, I'm relieved his business tanked, so that he cannot screw over any more people. On top of everything, we have already paid in full, and Mr. [redacted] went bankrupt [redacted] 29, 2013 and closed his Outdoor Marketplace. Today ([redacted]) I get a letter from a subcontractor that Mr. [redacted] apparently stiffed for over $400K, expecting me to pay him money that was owed to him by Mr. [redacted]. If [redacted] happens to ever open another business, BUYER BEWARE and stay away!Desired Settlement: Here's hoping that no other person will be scammed by this dishonest jerk or his company.

Review: We contracted TD Landscape Design, LLC (Listed by the Revdex.com in Bastrop, TX and Columbus, TX) to build a pool and extensive paver deck. We had the company [redacted] out on site twice to ensure he understood the location and soil conditions. He assured us that they build the pools in a special way by overcutting the hole and placing certain fill-materials in to eliminate the lateral pressure from our expansive soils.Based on his pool-build process and explaining how they do the work in-house rather than use subcontractors, he was awarded the contract. Contract was signed [redacted], work commenced [redacted] and to date the project is not complete.POOL:The pool was plastered and filled on [redacted], while the workers were trying to find a leak thought to come from the waterfall, they discovered a crack in the pool. By this time it was evident the builder did not know how to design a pool for expansive Texas soils and we requested he check with a professional engineer, get a stamped recommendation from the engineer and rectify the pool.At this time photos of the construction were reviewed and it was noticed that the builder forgot to pour a beam under the freestanding pool/feature wall that is holding roughly 50 tons of water fall rock. Apparently they just sprayed gunite on the natural soil with no beam, no compaction and no removal of topsoil. Also at this time (we were told by his plastering contractor to wait 6-8 weeks after plaster before running the waterfall) the waterfall was tested and found that the water fall pump was severely cavitating due to undersized piping in the pool drain. The builder did not know how to check the pump performance so we had the calculations performed for him and determined that the contracted waterfall could never run properly and far exceeded the safety standards of 5-7 feet per second maximum allowed in the suction line. Ours is running at 12 feet per second when the waterfall is on increasing chances of entrapment. To date the builder has not provided an industry acceptable solution nor has he shown much effort to resolve. We have requested status and only receive back excuses from his third part subcontractors.PAVERS:A large paver deck was part of the contract. TD Landscaping made an error on the drainage slope and water significantly pools on the deck, especially over our grease trap. Large parts of the deck have zero percent drainage slope.AIR-CONDITIONER CONDENSER PAD: Removal of the original pad and replacement with a correctly draining pad was part of the contract. The builder poured this pad with an incorrect slope. The water drains back to the house instead of away from the foundation.Desired Settlement: Repair or agree to to pay all costs of having a qualified contractor. Bank guarantee will be required for the latter.
