Review: I purchased a custom made front door from TDC Doors. The door was installed on 08/**/2011. The door has a glass panel strip down the middle of it. In mid July 2012, apon walking into my house I discovered several cracks in the glass panel on the door. I immediately called the store owner, who came to the house looked at the glass and made a template to repair the glass. The store owner said he was going to send the template upstate and will contact me to give me with a price to repairing the glass when he hears from the factory upstate. It's now August 2013 adn not only have not recv'd the a quote from the store but I have had to call the stores owner several times ove the year only to be told he hadn't heard any thing yet and each time he said he will call me back and never did. In December 2012, I went to the store to confront the owner and he told me the company was in China and he made several attempts to reach them but had no success. The store owner [redacted] said he was going to make another attempt and call me. Of course I never heard from him. It was after that I looked closely at my warranty and realized it expired in August 2012 a month after I notified that store about the cracked glass. I told the store that I would pay to have the glass repaired; just let me know how much it will cost and still no response or assistance from the owner of the store.Desired Settlement: My desired out come is for the owner to repair the door. if he is not going to repair the door then call and tell me why.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by TDC Door, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The owner called and gave me a guestimate over the phone for $500.00; he then went on to say,he was going to email me the exact cost for repairs the next day. That conversation took place more than 3 weeks ago and I still have not recieved the email. So, nothing has changed; this is exactly what he has been doing to me all along. I am not going to call TDC anymore because it is clear to me they do not want to fix the door. I suspect its because I have a round top door. Having a round top door would mean you have to custom make a temporal door to put in while the original door is being repaired and I guess its not worth it to them.

Review: the front door is under a 1 year warranty and before the 1 year warranty was up the front door jam began to bulge and the jam cracked. I have been calling and speaking to a representative named [redacted] and he has requested that I take pictures and email them so they can see the issue, I did this numerous times and had to keep calling because I was never called back. They sent one of there re finishers to look at the door and he was asked to take pictures and show it to them. They seen the pictures and are now telling me they will not refinish or replace the door. The pictures speak for themselves and it blatant that there is a obvious defect with the door.Desired Settlement: to have my brand new door look brand new.
