[redacted] came in for a vehicle inspection....the 3rd brake lamp did not work so we tried to install a bulb in order to pass inspection..note(at no charge)....during the process the rear valance came loose.....it eventually came off of the vehicle....we had ordered a repair kit, she brought it...

back...we installed the repair kit..(again at no charge)....all seemed to be working at this time.....she called back to inform me that the valance came loose again when opening the door....she states that she was taking it to the dealer to repair....I explained to her that we would have no problem , if the part needed to be replaced, to order from the dealer and install....she chose not to bring it back....we have offered, again, at no charge, to replace the valance....had she brought it back to me we would have replaced it...this is an older model vehicle and the last thing we wanted to do was have something break...we were trying to help her out....I am very sorry that this order of events have taken place....the last thing we would ever do is "rip" someone off....at stated...we are an honest, locally owned shop. And to set the record straight , I [redacted] the owner did make several attempts to contact [redacted] through her friend that instant message me. she chose not to talk to me until I saw her in our shop a few weeks ago and talked to her in person and let her know if she had any problem at all please let us know. please understand that we were trying to help a single mother out not trying to rip her off. new state law said rear third brake light must work , but the plastic piece was old faded and it did break when we tried to install a bulb in it we never said we wouldn't pay for it we said we would install the new piece if the repair didn't work the cost of the part was around 375.00 and we would've taken a loss even though we didn't charge her for trying to help her out . but I will not be taken advantage of and let her take it to the dealer and have to pay 275.00 dollars more just because she decided she was going to go there instead of coming back hear. She has slandered my name on social media rather than coming in and letting me fix it , And still as a good business owner I would've paid for her third brake light part. Thank you for your time..and God Bless........
