I've always owned Tascam recording equipment (going back to the early 70's) and after my latest experience there is no doubt in my mind that I always will Last week I called technical support at Tascam to ask how to get a piece of equipment I own to do something that it wasn't exactly designed to do, but based on its specifications should "somehow" be able to do The technician I spoke with asked if he could call me back after he researched me question and I agreed that he could Today he called me back and advised me that he had come up with a way to make my equipment do what I wanted it to do (which is something NOT covered in the owners manual) I was able to reach a live person, in the U.S., who was willing to listen to my "off the wall" problem and then go WAY out of his way to resolve it for meTHAT is customer service at its finest Their products have always been top notch and the few times I've called them in the last years their customer service has been equally outstanding
