Teachers Federal Credit Union have the worst possible unprofessionalism with consumers. They are filled with so much ice, that they can freeze the Artic over 20 times! The Collections Department has the worst of all as to be representing the so called PROFESSIONLISM. They don't give you their names when they are speaking to you. The don't have understanding as to any hardship situation. They say that is not their problem. I would ADVISE TO AVOID THIS BANK COMPLETELY! If had the choice I would give them a rating of ZERO!

Review: In Feb. 2015 I filled a dispute with my bank teachers federal credit union in the amount of $1200.00+ they told me my card was present at the time of the sale at some type of furniture store or warehouse in question. So they could no file it as fraud they would have to file it as a merchant dispute and that can take up to 200+ days. As of 3 days ago they finally answered back to me with the respond of my claim has been denied. So I called them and asked them why has my claim been denied and if I can speak with there [redacted] department. they could not give me a answer and said no I could not speak with anyone for the [redacted] department. Then they go on to tell me my documents submitted did not support my claim. Which does not make any sense at all because the transaction was fraud I never been to the merchant, so I tell them can you provide me with a receipt or even a invoice from the merchant if its not fraud as your claiming. They said after making me wait 6 months no we do not have to provide you anything. Now please tell sense when is a consumer not entitled a right to documents proving that something is not fraud of the financial institutions investigation of the claim. I have revived No documentation that they ever pursued the claim and made me wait 6 months for what they are just as responsible for stealing my money as the merchant is. They are issuing visa debit card but are not following visa's dispute resolution basics. due to the fact that I have still not acquired a copy of the sales receipt that is needed for this so called particular transaction.Desired Settlement: All of my funds credited back to my account or A copy of the sales receipt that is needed for this so called particular transaction.

Review: When I originally contracted TFCU for the auto loan, they provided me with a coupon book to make payments. They moved in 2011 (from [redacted] to [redacted]). Yet they never sent a revised coupon book for mailing checks. Instead, during the course of 2011 I was mailing checks to an old address with the attached coupon book that they had previously provided. They didn’t even send a letter in the mail to advise customers to make payments to a new address. My auto lease for a Jeep Liberty ended December 2011. I have a copy of my last check that was cashed by them on December ** 2011, yet they listed my account as unpaid in January.

During the term of the loan, they even repossessed the car. Not a single phone call was made to me to advise of a late payment. When I contacted them on the matter (a very rude lady in accounts receivable), she told me that it was my problem, because they had sent newsletters in the mail advising that they moved. No offense to anyone at TFCU, but I throw away newsletters. I consider all newsletters as junk mail and never read newsletters. Had they sent an official letter advising me to make payments to a new address, or a revised coupon book, that would have been acceptable. So for the period of approximately one year, all my payments were being forwarded by USPS which delayed each payment being cashed.

Believe it or not, at the time, they did not even have a way for recurring ach payments to be made automatically. What kind of financial company could not debit ach payments in 2011?

In summary Teachers Federal Credit (TFC) is unorganized and untruthful. Even today on the Revdex.com website, they still list the Farmingdale address. Their lack of attention to customer complaints only begets further frustration. I tried to convey this message to this same rude lady (I wish I could recall her name) in the accounts receivable department. I called several times, and had my husband call as well. Each time I called, she said it was my fault, and that I would suffer the consequences of my late payment. I currently have no balance with them and let it be noted that they cashed my last check to them on 12/**/2011 (check [redacted]) in the amount of 224.97, which completed my lease obligation to them. Yet they listed me as being 60 days late in January 2012.

I have a copy of the deposited check to prove my case (if need be).Desired Settlement: I hereby request that the late payments recorded by TFCU to the credit reporting agencies be removed. They did charge me late fees that I am not happy about, but at this point, I could care less about the extra money paid to them for no reason. All I care about is my good credit. This is the only blemish on my credit profile, and I would like it removed.

It is truly disappointing that a company that is trusted with individual financial information can be so lacking in correcting their errors. They should have a fiduciary responsibility to act in good faith. What a disappointment.

Review: This issue goes back to 2013 when my car was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. While insurance paid he claim, TFCU insisted I owed $1804 as there was a [redacted] in coverage. I had [redacted] insurance - TFCU and FUSION Lease co insisted it was not active in a re-lease- Nothing in my release contract said it was no longer active. I finally paid the money to protect my credit but decided to address it now as I am almost through with more important problems due to Sandy - Pls see note below which explains the issue - Thanks

Re: Credit report regarding alleged non-paid bill

To whom it may concern;

I am requesting your assistance in clearing up an issue related to the former lease I had with TFCU. The issue consists of 2 parts:

1. Clearing my credit reports on an alleged overdue charge of $1804 which I have never once even received a bill for (of which I would have disputed).

2. Clearing up the issue of the disputed owed charge (which I have no liability for)

Following is a summary of this incident and documentation that I am not liable and also my request for having this resolved immediately:

Summary of the incident:

• I recently reviewed my credit report and uncovered a TFCU charge for $1804 which claims that this bill was due in December, 2012. (I have never once received a single bill or notification stating that there was any balance due).

• This alleged charge is for the Volvo S80 which I had leased with TFCU until the vehicle was destroyed in Super Storm Sandy.

• All proper insurance channels were followed and this vehicle was totaled and removed via my [redacted] Insurance policy.

• As stated above, I have never once received a single bill or notice requesting payment of this alleged outstanding balance.

• The only thing remotely resembling a communication came from a phone call from someone at TFCU on January [redacted], 2013. The call stated that I there was some issue with my TFCU lease account. Upon further discussion, it appeared there was some question about the lease agreement and [redacted] insurance.

• On that date, I received a fax of my lease agreement, which I had asked for so I could review it to see if I was in fact liable for any charges.

• After that point, there were no additional communications from TFCU regarding this matter.

• Upon review of the policy, I determined that there was no liability on my part and that I was in total compliance with the terms and conditions outlined in my lease and that I had satisfied all of my obligations. This point is further documented by the fact that I have never once during this entire incident received one bill or request for payment.

Documentation:

• I reviewed the entire lease agreement and there was not one reference to the fact that [redacted] insurance would no longer be included.

• I was never informed that there would be a lapse in [redacted] coverage and asked to sign something stating that I waived [redacted] coverage.

• Additionally, my monthly lease payments in the lease extension were identical to the initial lease payments, documenting that everything in my extension was identical to the initial lease.

• Finally, please review # 13 on the attached page of the lease agreement entitled “[redacted]”. This documents that I was compliant with coverage. You will see that it states that the “vehicle must be insured to the actual cash value of the vehicle” and that the “insurance must be acceptable to Lessor”. The vehicle insurance was acceptable by the lessor as they executed the agreement.

Upon review of this, I would appreciate a call to confirm that this has been resolved along with documentation that all credit bureaus have been notified.

Review: After spending my time and money for six weeks trying to obtain an Home Equity Line Of Credit.I was told in 3 minutes that I was rejected because I do not have enough income according to their formula.TFCU could have used that same formula while I was filling out the application, not have me spend $275.00 to have my home evaluated, spending time obtaining bank statements, going to town hall to obtain my deed, when TFCU already knew I was going to be rejected.I already have a HELOC with another bank and was trying to transfer same to obtain a lower rate.I would like a refund for my $275.00 for the evaluation.Thank you,[redacted]Desired Settlement: Return of the $275.00.At 70 years old my time is precious, but I know it can neither be borrowed nor returned.Thanks again

Review: I had three fraudulent on line charges hit my account. I went to the bank in person to dispute them when I first noticed them. They had told me to wait to the hit my account and I did. I cam back with the dispute paper work filled out, and was told it would take 2-4 weeks. I have since called to follow up and now I am being told it will take 310 business days. I'm sorry 10 months is way to long to wait for a credit to be credited to my account. The charges are as follows:11/**/15 ATM International Fee $1.1611/16/15 Debit Purchase [redacted] $145.4611/**/15 Journal Debit Charged on 11/**/15 [redacted] $110.21Desired Settlement: I would like my full credit in the amount of $256.83 credited back to my bank account. ASAP I think ts ridiculous to tell someone that you have to wait 10 months for a credit. I will be closing my account with the bank after getting two new debit cards and still having problems. The service is horrible and UNACCEPTABLE.

Review: I am leasing my Jeep through Teacher Federal Credit Union and 3 SEPARATE TIMES (11/**/13, 12/**/13, & 1/**/14) have reported that I have opened a new loan with them causing my credit score to drop 9 points in just a couple of months!!!! My credit score is now being affected becasue of mismanagement over at this joke of a business. What kind of incompetent people do they have working over there??? I have a lease through them why is it that every month they are reporting that I have a new loan with you??????Desired Settlement: Fix YOUR error so my credit score will be fixed!!!!!!

Review: On September *, 2015 I was approved for a personal loan to consolidate my debt in order to avoid paying higher interest rates. I provided the bank with the credit card account numbers and pay off amounts. The other day my account was debited from one of those credit cards in the amount of $139, of which $85 was interest alone. This account should have been paid off by the bank, so now not only am I out $139, I also have to make a $200 loan payment on October *, 2015. The purpose of the personal loan was to save me money, not cost me more. On September **, 2015 I contacted the bank. I spent two hours on the phone, was disconnected three times and had to speak to 12 different representatives. Every rep blamed the post office before it finally occurred to them to verify the address. The bank had sent it to the wrong address. Instead of offering a solution, one rep would transfer me to the another one. In the end, they suggested that I contact the credit card company and ask them for a refund/reimbursement. It is not the credit cards company that the bank failed to mail it to the proper address, nor is it mine. Why should I be the one to pay?Desired Settlement: I would like the $139 to be deducted from my loan balance and my resulting payment due on October *, 2015 to be reduced by that amount, so my amount due would only be $41.
