Last year in March Teague painting was contacted by *** and *** *** Wanting us to pay entire lower level of their lake house on *** *** *** *** as we had worked for her and her husband a year before and they were pleased I'd bid jobI submitted a contract agreed upon by ***
*** for $I was to supply labor for job they had their own paint that I was to use 1st and purchase what was needed to finish the jobHomeowner would reimburse For materialUpon 1st day of job homeowner advised me she was having a bathroom remodel by another contractor and he wanted me to put a skim coat of mud on seems of walls I told her I didn't want to be liable for work that I was not getting paid for but I did the work anyway to help get job doneWe performed job then did final walkthrough with *** and *** *** before getting a partial paymentThroughout job we could not finish bathroom because other contractor doing remodel would not show up when he was supposed told her through no fault of my own we couldn't finish bathroom but we needed to get paid and would do the bathroom as soon as the remodel was finish she paid us a portion of the money that she owed us and said that she would pay us the rest upon completion through the next weeks we made several attempts to finish bathroom but could not because other contractor would not perform work as scheduled attemps in total during this time were made to try to finish bathroomDuring this time she noticed some problems in movie room when the light which shines off the lake and in the room but could only be seen when Sun was shining we repainted movie room with another coat ,and fix caulking and touch paint on baseboards where she wanted us to and did another walk thru.it is mile round trip from are you yard to her house and back on ,4th attempt I told home owner *** *** it was not fair to my other customers to consistently leave their job early because of another contractor and asked to be called to confirm other contractor was finished with jobs so we can finish the bathroom a few days later she contacted the owner of Teague Painting and said she did not want crew led by *** to return to her house that she was not happy company owner advised her that crew was only one employed she stated that she did not want job finished and never paid for rest of job or materials were not reimbursed by *** ***contractor thought it would be OK to not pursue any action against homeowner so with all work performed and approved by *** and *** *** before we received any payment multiple trips to finish job and paint not reimbursed by homeowner as said in contract and not being able to Be allowed to perform any chances to make homeowner pleased with job we consider this matter closed as we thought it was for the past year as representative of Teague painting we strive to go the extra mile for our customers and would do anything to make them happy including going back is many times as it would a took to to finish job to homeowners approval Respectfully submitted by *** *** a representative of Teague painting
