Miss *** paid me for a simple material depositI went to buy all materials needed after I did a material take off of her plans and my measurementsI paid for all materiel's with my money, I had to wait for her check to clearafter the scheduling dispute she cancelled the jobI
had to the take all said materials backi then have to wait for the store to refund the money for the deposit backas a standard business practice I have days to refund any cancelled job and the fact that the lumber stores practice the same...I will be writing Miss *** her refund out of my own pocket since she has taken to this so fast and not given me a chance to do what is industry standardsI have never taken advantage of anyone and there project or moneyI have been doing this for years and my reputation is impeccable with my customers!!!

I am rejecting this response because:The contractor does not provide a specific date by which I'll receive my $500 refund.  My check to him cleared my bank on 5/31.  As of tomorrow, June 30th, he will have already had my money for 30 days, and yet where is my promised refund?  I’m not interested in further excuses, stall tactics and attempts at blame shifting – that’s all I’ve gotten from this contractor practically from the day I was foolish enough to hire him.  (Even his response to this complaint is 5 days late.  He received the complaint on 6/13 and had 10 days to respond – that would be 6/23 – but he didn’t respond until 6/28.)  As far as I am concerned, this issue is not resolved until I get my $500 back as promised.  That is why, on 6/26, when the Revdex.com’s deadline was 3 days past with no response from the contractor, I mailed a notice of intent to file a complaint with the CCB.  If I don’t get my $500 before that 30 days is up or if his check is returned by the bank, I will proceed with that complaint.
