Review: Was charged$200 for bicycle repair and it's in worse shape than before. Took it in for a new rim and tune up, now my chain keeps falling off and squeaky. They won't refund any money and wants to charge me more money to bring it back in. Very rude person.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of 100.00 dollars for services I was charged for but not done.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] brought his bike in for service on or about October 2, 2015. The service included one rim replacement and a performance service. The rim was $100; service was $65 and labor was $15, for a total of $180.00. When Mr. [redacted] picked up his bike he gave it a test ride and was very thankful and said his bike has never felt so good. He left a happy customer. On October 15, 2015, Mr. [redacted] called our shop and spoke to one of our employees. Mr. [redacted] was verbally abusive to our employee and even told her to "[redacted]" several times during the call. Mr. [redacted]'s request during the telephone demand was for $200 and she responded by requesting he bring his bike in so the mechanic can speak to him and take a look at the bike. The biggest concern was that Mr. [redacted] advised our staff member that he had wrecked on his bike and now the chain falls off occasionally and he just wants his money back. Again, our staff member advised that we would be happy to take a look at his bike and help in any way we could. Mr. [redacted] continued to respond by forcefully demanding $200 while projecting foul language. We continue to be willing to assess Mr. [redacted]'s bike if he would bring it into the shop; however, at this time, he would need to speak directly to the owner, Brian Fisher as I would request he not have communication with our staff. He frightened our staff member and threatened her several times for $200. It is our belief that Mr. [redacted] wrecked on his bike and doesn't want to bring it in as we would then notice the bike would need further repair due to damage from his wreck. We are unable to assess a bike over the phone and if his only complaint is that his chain is falling off it is more than likely a very simple fix that we are willing to address.
