Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I've been without my Kia since right after Christmas of last year I need my car fixed Kia is just prolonging and not helping me I'm going to have to purchase another vehicle so I can go on with my life Kia has already messed with me for over half a year I have to do something about now I can't wait another half a year i've already found other dealerships little work with me and give me a better deal if KIA was serious about fixing this problem they would have this fixed and resolved a long time ago Sincerely, [redacted] Mr [redacted] at KIAI'm starting on my fourth month of my Kia in the shop I pay for full insurance on the car that I can't use for four months now I was driving my sons jeep for the starting of two months and it broke down now The jeep is not an everyday driver it's years old I called Kia to let them know that I need my vehicle back or if they can't fix it put it back exactly the way I brought it in but they've always told me they have a specialist coming to look at it somehow they prolong me even longer and they did not offer me a rental car I had to demand it until I got it I've been in a rental car for a month it's inconvenient it's frustrating and I don't think you guys are going to fix the car because of the time that they been working on it The bad thing is I told my mom what a great car they are and I talked my mom in buying a brand-new Kia sported from the dealership where my car is at right now maybe we should put everything back the way it was so I can sell it and buy another vehicle please get back to me I need help figuring out what we're are going to do [redacted] [redacted] Just to clarify I made an appointment after Christmas in December for my vehicle to be looked at Kia and before I brought it in we talked about my vehicle this was before Christmas and told them what it was doing .It was hesitating in first and second and if you get A chance to look at my heater light indicator it was out and that would be the last thing to look at the first thing I wanting them to do this to find out why the vehicle was hesitating and I told them that I was driving a jeep soft top for right now and it is not an everyday driver does not handle very well in the winter I get a call in about a week in they told me that I need a new heater control I said what!! they told me it was like dollars to replace it I told them my heater control worked just fine I had a light out that was it I told them and do not worry about the heater control I don't want that I want my vehicle hesitationI done firstA month in and Kia finally gets me diagnose they told me that I need a new transfer case and I asked is this going to fix the problem they said yes they told me for a new one it would be around $I told them I can't do that I Woodbrother just sell the car So [redacted] looked and found me a used one for about $I asked is that the total she says yes around there I told her I can do that so week goes by and no phone call so I called them and ask them what's going on they said they're doing some adjustments will be done here soon another week goes by and I'm have a little bit problems with my jeep and I told Kia I really would like my vehicle back and I said that my jeep was not working right so the next day I got a call and they told me my car is fixed and ready for me to pick up I pick it up pay for the bill and they told me that everything is good and they even fixed the heater control and I said just the light right and they said yes So I didn't get to test it out until that evening and I found out that the heater light was still out!so I'm going down the highway and first and second seem a little okay and then I tried to go faster and then third fourth and fifth we're doing that bad hesitation even worse so the vehicle is in worse condition from when I brought it in I called Kia to them the vehicles is not fixed they said to bring it back I brought it back to them and I was not in a very good mood and they told me that it was not fixed you were not supposed to get it back yet and that was from [redacted] told me that So another week goes by and this is when my jeep broke down no my jeep is not an everyday driver it is years old and it belongs to me and my son I drive over miles a day I had to go over the pass which I could not do it in that jeep missed out on opportunities of work and job because of my vehicle still to this day I've only been over the past once and that's because I borrowed someone else's vehicle I don't feel comfortable driving my jeep over the pass and I do not feel comfortable driving a Kia that does is in worse condition to drive over the pass the inconvenience and the stuff this is cost me and I told Kia what's going on with my vehicle I needed my Kia back my jeep broke down so they're told me they are working on it and they got specialist coming to look at it and I'll have the same fixed and I was talking mostly to brooding witches works for a main Kia and they just keep prolonging me with this Kia saying they're going to get it done it's going to get fixed and I even asked Kia internal affairs what if they find a Nother that the transfer case was not the problem Kia from internal affairs said that it must be misdiagnosed it so they'll fix any other problems no chargeIt should be done here soon for the record when my jeep did break down they didn't offer me no rental I had to demand my car back or a rental right now this was a week or two in to February and I was stranded with no vehicle for two days which is not good and I paid over $for that rental when I gave it back in marchI contact [redacted] and told him my concerns ensured me that the rental and whatever needs to be done will be done with no extra expense I said that's what I needed to know I feel better,thats when I got a call about a week after talking to [redacted] from Kia internal affairs Kia asking for more money to fix the part that they don't know if it's going to fix it completely yet so I told him I cannot decide on that yet I contact [redacted] and I told him my concerns on buying another part and not knowing it's going to be fixed and cost me more money and more time of not having my vehicle back I was so done I was tired and irritated and frustrated I don't know whatkind of vehicle I would get back I do not trust Kia dealership because I've heard so many stories and excusesThis is been going on for long enough I'm starting on the fourth month I just want my vehicle back I love my vehicle I bought it for a safety reason I was in a bad car accident and this is the car he feel comfortable in it.My car is like your home I drive a lot I pick people up in it and I have friends and family in it I even talked my mom and buying a brand-new Kia sported from the dealership where my car is atI lost the trust and this is why I made my decisionHi this is [redacted] again I am still having problems with my Kia I said if they can't fix it needs to be put back in the way I that I brought it to Kia the car is in worse condition I got engine light coming on the cruise control did not work it hesitates in a different when you let off the gas it's having more problems than when I brought it in I would like for my car to be fixed the right way or put exactly back the way that I brought it in!!I was thinking about buying a brand-new car but I can't think about buying a brand-new Kia when we have so many problems exchange it fixed so for right now if we cannot do this and I have been very very patient and understanding I will have no choice but to file a better business complaint and have to take legal actionThat is what I wrote them when I got my vehicle back from Kia at the end of 1/months of them have any I put up with a lot of stuff there hesitation there prolonging me and they're lying that went on on this company I think they took advantage of my patients to wear this got out of hand all I want is my car fixed or put back in exactly the way I got it to them I cannot sell this vehicle or do anything with it right now because it isn't so much problems that Kia did to my Kia I am still driving my jeep I still cannot go over the mountain I went over once I borrowed a vehicle I give Kia every chance to try to make this right for some reason they are very good at prolonging things I got a call the other day from Kia saying we're going to help you out with your Kia and try to find you a vehicle so I take the time to go down there and they ask me what kind of vehicle I want I would like to have the same vehicle that I had something in that area but yes I do not find very much on that lot it was very old or very new and the money that they offered me on my vehicle I feel it was low but I told him it doesn't matter what you offer me you can offer me $10,for my car but what are you going to trade me in and how much of it I going to pay for this vehicle I feel like they're just trying to give Revdex.com a letter so they can say they tried to do something I don't think that they really have any effort to try to resolve this just to prolong I've already went to a couple of places to look at some vehicles and found better deals than what Kia offered me and that was even without the Kia that I had to trade in [redacted]

We again attempted to come to an equitable agreement for the customer to trade in his vehicle but we do not have the vehicle that he is looking for, we made an offer well over the fair travalue of the car considering the title limitations but again did not have what he was looking for, As I stated before we refunded him his complete money from the original repair that he had spent here and provided him with transportation the second time it was here and did not charge a cent for this diagnosis attemptWe recommend that as we are not capable of fixing the vehicle as proven and stated, Mr [redacted] take the vehicle to another repair facility to have it diagnosed and repairedI am willing to keep Mr [redacted] in mind if I hire a technician that I feel has more experience with older Kia vehicles and may be able to shed fresh light on the situation.Thanks

On April 14, 2015, [redacted] purchased a sight unseen vehicle via phone from Team Kia of BendA member of the sales staff deliveredthe vehicle to Ms [redacted] and she signed all of the paperworkWhen Ms[redacted] later decided she was unhappy with the vehicle she purchased, weoffered to take the vehicle back and refund her money

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely, [redacted] first of all it into all that smoothest what they say obviously first of all it was there for over three months and why is because they kept misdiagnosing it and wasting my time and I told him he can't fix it needs to be put back the way it was and get back to me obviously obviously that did not happen when I was done dealing with him cannot do this no more waste more time or money and yes it did affect my life I talked to many businesses about my issue and what's going on and they all say this is not right thing should've been done a lot differently now that I got my vehicle back I have nothing but problems so whatever things that they think they don't they made it worse I have a vehicle that I don't trust going down the road and I have to come back and forth from then to Redmond and and cannot trusted no more the things they said they've tried to do for me I had to fight for the rental car was something that I had enough of I can't drive my sons jeep no more it was like pulling teeth to get that and plus I told him I said we can't fix the car needs to be put back the way it was and gave back to me in the way that I obviously that did not happen or we wouldn't be in this situation right now they don't know how to make things right or to fix things right so this is why I'm doing a better business report

As my General Manager and I explained Kia does not make a starter for your vehicle any longer, if you had contacted this store's service department when you first had the problem we could have guided you with our knowledge of what repairs we performed, since you called Penny in Portland she did
not have all the information and could only guess at what your best course of action would beI'm also confused, in your complaint you state that the car failed the very next day but Beaverton did not receive your car until the night of the 6th of March and your current mileage is which is almost miles afterwe worked on it? you stated that you live miles away and the vehicle did not start the very next morning which leaves a mile difference? As I explained to you when we spoke previously the warranty on your repair is only good at this store but we did send over the vendor information to the Beaverton location so that they can follow up with that vendor to see if they will help with the repairs. I called ED again today to ask him to contact the vendor again and see if they can help.If not the only other option is for us to adhere to the warranty and inspect the vehicle here at this location and warrant the parts and labor portion that our warranty would cover and charge the difference again if we are unable to get assistance from the supplier of the starterMy General Manager has stated that he would be happy to work with you here at our store with purchasing a different vehicle by giving you wholesale pricing on said vehicleIf you would like to pursue this course of action please let me know and I can have the GM arrange an appointment for you

After reviewing the history and interviewing the service staff including the service manager, we did have Mr***'s vehicle for an extended time as we attempted to repair the chugging, we only had one instance of a check engine light which proved to be a history code and we could not duplicate
that again, otherwise we did install a transfer case (we recommended a rear differential replacement due to excessive metal content that was declined) which altered the nature of the vehicle's drive ability but did not satisfy the repair so we found vacuum leaks which (one major and one minor) that we also fixed but still the chugging remainedThere was a communication error on the adviser's part stating the vehicle was repaired when in fact there was still research being done as Mr*** statedThe service manager brought the vehicle back in and provided a rental vehicle to Mr*** so he could go over the pass and not drive the jeep while we attempted to investigate the chugging further, we sent the vehicle to an exhaust shop for backflow testing, to a transmission shop for an outside opinion, we also installed a new mass air flow sensor at no charge, we installed a good know idle air control valve, opened a technical repair assistance case with KIA and after we did minutes of flight record data, they saw no signs of any disturbance in the engine data to support it being a monitored issue in the engine or fuel delivery systemThe service manager and Mr*** discussed options including 1)continue to work on vehicle which was not fruitful 2) Have mr *** purchase a different vehicle with or without traof his Kia or 3) Refund him the full amount that he spent and part waysMr*** decided to pursue purchasing a vehicle first and unfortunately his vehicle has a reconstructed title and we were unable to reach an agreement on the trade in or on a vehicle sale at allSo we moved onto option and refunded his full amount of $and also paid the rental car bill of dollars and agreed to part ways, Mr *** came by again with the check engine light complaint, it was a history code again, I agreed to go driving with him to attempt to recreate the complaint in regards to the check engine light but we were unable to duplicate the concern, after discussing the past incidents again the service manager again recommended replacement of the differential and stated we would install the differential at no cost to the customer unless the repair was successful and Mr*** said he would think about it and that was the last time the service staff had contact with Mr***, I am not sure who he spoke to on 5/6/as all service staff and myself did not speak with himThe vehicle is not under factory warranty so the customer has the option of taking it to any repair shop he chooses and I would recommend that option as we have not been able to repair the vehicle and have been stumped by itWe are more than happy to attempt a sale of another vehicle to Mr*** but are unable to offer what he expects for his Kia due to the fact that we would have to wholesale his vehicle due to the reconstructed titleIn regards to the claims of dents in the vehicle Mr*** did not make this known to any staff and we do not dent or ding vehicles out of spite and if we did we would probably not last long in business with that practiceWe spent over man hours attempting to repair the vehicle, refunded the full amount paid for the repair and provided a rental car at our expense during the second attempt to repair and provided free parts and labor on that second attempt to diagnose and repair I believe we went above and beyond to rectify the situation
