I bought a car about 4 weeks ago, nice looking 2017 and I thought I was getting a really good deal. Right after driving it off the lot I can’t even put gas in it, it has now been to the shop 3 times and nothing has been solved. Bought a car to not even be able to drive it. The car is luckily still under warranty, but they see that’s as a valid reason to pass on the problem to someone else. On top of that was a little scratch in the paint upon buying it, come to find out it’s going to be over $2,000 to get that fixed. Because someone else dented it after buying it ( the place that’s supposed to be fixing it) they won’t take any responsibility because “used cars come with dents and dings” as stated by the finance manager. When I took the car to get an estimate to repair the prior damage that was there when I bought the car he said he believes the car was worse off and someone altered it to make it look better to be able to sell it. The door does not sit right and there is also damage on the inside of the door due to whatever caused the damage on the outside. I already felt forced into the car because they had limited cars that I was able to get because of my credit. This car was listed as an “A rated” car, but now is un able to be driven. I am unable to take my son to his many appointments because I cannot drive it a far distance.

I am the owner here at at Team Lake Road and was involved in what was going on with *** care. I was surprised to receive this letter from the bureau. *** did buy a nice pre-owned Kia from us. She did have a problem with putting gas into it after she bought it. We had her take it to *** because it was under balance of factory warranty. *** replaced a couple of parts and did not charge her. In the end those parts did not fix the problem. They ended up finding a foreign piece broken off inside of the fill line. It appeared to be part of a gas can nozzle. Because of this find it was not covered under factory warrant but my company took care of the bill without hesitation. I got this letter later the same day.
As far as damage claimed on her car after the sale, this is out of our control. We did point our and note to her there was a scratch on the car before she bought it, but we do not know how the damage happened after she left our lot. Team Lake Road did not have possession of this car after the sale at any time. I value *** as our customer and am sorry her car would not take gas. When I purchased the car we put gas in it to drive back from Pittsburgh and did not have a problem. Sometimes it is hard for mechanics to find a problem such as this or have to order a part, Again, sorry for your inconvenience and the bill at *** was paid in full by us for you.
