Review: Team Quest charged me for membership even though I clearly cancelled my membership.
Dispute Team Quest Charges
First email requesting cancel and refund:
In early April, I signed up for the Mixed Martials Gym Team Quest Redding at 1101 Center St Redding, CA 96001. During some travel shortly thereafter I injured my leg from falling off a cliff. A few days after getting charged for membership, I sent email to [redacted] the owner of the gym to tell him I can't train and to please refund the $125 already charged. I didn't get to use my membership at all there due to my injury. I also asked him to cancel any future charges. [redacted] and staff failed to respond to any of my emails and phone calls until May 15, 2013. They charged my account again that same day even though I clearly instructed not to.

Team Quest has a simple cancellation policy that requires members to notify Team Quest in writing via email or written correspondence. In addition to this, the member must prove that their reason for cancellation falls within the terms of our contract agreement. In case of injury, Team Quest requires a doctor's note stating the injury and the prognosis of time to heal. During the healing time, we are able to suspend, not cancel, payments on an account for up to three months. The member filing this complaint refused to bring in a doctor's note thus we were unable to suspend payment on his account. It is the responsibility of the member to understand the terms and policies established by Team Quest. These policies are posted at the front desk very clearly for all members to see and understand. I expect the the Revdex.com will stand by our policies as they are fair and clear and support fairness to both parties. Team Quest is willing to credit the member the months for which he was charged if the proper procedure is followed. This will be in the form of training in the amount of $250 applied toward his account once he heals and returns to resume classes.
