Review: [redacted] fixed GFIs my rental property and he will receive payment as job is deemed complete. Also, Mr. [redacted] installed a lamp post at my place of residence. However, he did not complete the job, nor did he complete the job correctly. Mr. [redacted] stated that he will return to complete the job. Nevertheless, after waiting patiently for a month of not hearing from Mr. [redacted], he sent me a bill demanding payment in full. I then contacted Mr. [redacted] and left a message on his voice mail stating I did not hear from you for a month and am willing to send a partial payment and will pay in full when the job is completed. Anyway, as soon as Mr. [redacted] received my voice message he responded via text message stating the job is finished and he no longer wishes to do any more work for me. Now I have a lamp post that does not work. Therefore, I needed to contact another Electrician to complete the job. To reiterate, if Mr. [redacted] completed the job he would have received payment in full. However, since he abandoned the job and left me with no electricity, I do not feel as if he should receive payment because of his inability to complete the job. In addition,I had no choice but to hire another Elctrician which will cost me even more money because the new electrician needs to correct Mr. [redacted]'s mistake as well as complete the job. In conclusion, I would not recommend [redacted] (T.E.C. Electric LLC) for any job due to his inability and unwillingness to complete a job as agreed. Also, because of his incorrect invoicing as well as his threatening and harassing actions to a customer.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Since Mr. [redacted] asserted that he does not wish to return to complete the job, my only alternative was to contact another electrician. Therefore, I feel as if Mr. [redacted] should subsidize the cost of the current electrical charges to correct and complete the job. Also, I wish to receive no further contact from Mr. [redacted]. In addition, I want Mr. [redacted] to refrain from making any further threats of litigation as well as harassment. Due to incomplete work by Mr. [redacted] this is a reasonable request.

[redacted] called me to come out to pilgrims harbor to fix some shoddy wiring done by someone other than a licensed electrician. [redacted] illegally remodelled a condo including an extensive kitchen remodel with No building permits at all. I made the required repairs, and [redacted] asked me to follow him to his house on strawberryhill rd. Wallingford. He stated he had a carpenter to install the post but he was expensive. I quoted [redacted] a price of $250 to install the post, using his existing wiring. [redacted] had me do the work, so as to have the post up for prom pictures. The post was installed taking 2.5 hours of digging, and cementing thevpost in place. I connected the existing wiring and was done. He told me he wasn't sure where the wiring went once it when in the house,or if it was even connected. At that time I had fulfilled my obligation to [redacted] as that was our agreement. I inquired at the Wallingford Building Dept and found that [redacted] never pulled any permits and did the job at the condo illegally, and I thought at that time he wad very shaddy. I am apparently correct in my assumption, reading how he thought for $250 mthat included in setting the post ( as I was originally hired for) he expected additional conduit, wiring, and hours ofa labor to decipher some mess in his home. He is sadly mistaken. He even has gone as far as to ask me to make the bill out to his business so he could use it as a business deduction. The work was done at his own home. This is the point where I texted [redacted] and told him I was done doing work for him anymore, and sent him a bill. I did tell him that I was going to lien the properties, and am moving forward with that. Today as an insult in the mail. I received a partial payment for $130.87 , the Total cost was $390.81. [redacted] got what I proposed to him done. Anymore costs he paid to someone else, where for workabove and beyond our original scope of work. Ive been in business for30 years And have never dealt with anyone like [redacted].and hope I never havet to either. Thankyou

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/07/19) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Needless to say I am extremely disappointed by the clear lack of professionalism and misstatement of facts in this response.

Not only is there a clear misrepresentation of the facts, Mr. [redacted] stepped over the line in contacting the Building Department as the job in dispute had nothing to do with my investment property. In fact I paid him in full for the work performed as billed in the adjusted invoice (original invoice had the incorrect amount).

As for the work in dispute the major issue is that Mr. [redacted] did not return at the times of various rescheduled appointments and I did not hear from him for an extended period of time. When pushed on this point it was only then that the size and complexity of the job was made an issue.

In my last communication I also made it clear that any attempt to lien the properties, continue his threatening and malicious behavior or commit additional harm to me or my family that we will look to Mr. [redacted] for full reimbursement of any fees or costs associated with resolving this matter as well as any other reimbursement a court would deem appropriate.

While I continue to believe that I do not owe Mr. [redacted] any money for the incomplete job, his statements also continue to conflict with his restated invoice where he billed me for 4 hours while in his statement to the Revdex.com he indicated that job only took him 2.5 hours. This resulted in an invoice of $260 of labor at $65/hour versus his statement of 2.5 hours which should have been invoiced at only $162.50.

Lastly, it is evident from the response provided that Mr. [redacted]'s malicious actions are threatening and well beyond what is considered to be commercially reasonable.

Thank you for your efforts on my behalf.

[redacted] is quite the Delusional DRAMA QUEEN. the lamppost install was for time and materials. thats what the charges are for. [redacted] states that I stepped over the line contacting the Building department in Wallingford about his not pulling proper permits for the work which was done illegally at Pilgrims Harbor. It is all a matter of public record and [redacted] was just being shaddy in an attempt to not have to pay addittional taxes to the town for the upgrades in which he completed. I am completelly done with this whole issue. Any monies [redacted] had to pay to run new wiring from the lamppost to the house is and was above and beyond the scope of work he Verbally directed me to do. Thats right. Verbally. [redacted] never signed a written contract with me nor wanted anything to do with one, so at this point I am completelly done with this issue. I refuse to have any further contact about this issue from here on. whatever [redacted] paid to do the additional wiring from the lamppost to the house is on him. appearantly he feels the need not to pay me for the work that I completed, and thats his issue. The bible says we all must answer for what we have done in life at some time, and im sure this will be on his list. I am officially washing my hands of this , and wish no further contact from the Revdex.com or [redacted]. There is nothing to work out here. good day.
