We were disappointed to receive your letter regarding an unsatisfied customer of ours.I am familiar with the vehicle and the alarm issueAt the time we replaced the heater core we did not know if the alarm worked or not.I asked Mr.*** about it and he did not seem too concerned saying he was
going to get another vehicle, also he has been back to our shop a couple of times since the heater core was replaced and did not say anything about the alarmMr*** has been a long time customer and the last thing we would have wanted was for him lea***g here unhappyOn August 4, I ran into Mr*** at our local *** ***, we talked about the letter we received from you (Revdex.com) and asked him to bring his car in so we could resolve his issue with the alarm, he said he would but to date we have not heard from Mr***.***r and I have worked on Mr***'s vehicles for many years and we consider him a valued customer and hope to here from him soon. I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for the response - I did meet Mr*** early that morning as noted, and he did offer to assist in resol***g this matter I have not been available to return to the shop, as I've been traveling I had discussed the alarm issue via phone at least three times, the last time which I was told "go see a guy on *** Avenue in *** ***" I have never received a call back from Mr***, who may have left the business I would appreciate consideration for the replacement of the alarm I have a $offer from a mobile electronics shop here in Wallingford I would consider 1/of this to be paid by Tech One (plus tax) The alarm WAS working when I delivered the vehicle to Tech One, as I always heard the alarm while in the waiting area

Review: I sumbit this complaint with some reservation, as I have been a happy customer of Tech One Auto since 2005, until late 2014.

[redacted] has always treated me professionally, since I started doing business with him in 2005. Tech One consistently provided repair services to both of my vehicles, a [redacted], and a second [redacted]

I have tried to reach [redacted] since this issue, but have never spoken with him. My calls to speak with him prompted replies of "He is in an out...". He may be transitioning out of the business. I HAVE spoken with the current manager "[redacted]", but I am unhappy with level of response to this matter.

Tech One replaced my heater core for the the 1998 Jeep, in late October. I had no heat, regardless of a number of attempts to flush the heater core. I agreed to the replacement of the core.

When I returned to pick up the vehicle, [redacted] walked me to the care, trying to disarm my alarm & unlock the door with the keyfob. The alarm did not beep. [redacted] asked me "Did you have an alarm in this vehicle?". I agreed "yes". [redacted] replied "we had to remove the alarm, and I'm not licensed to replace it". I asked for options to replace it, and I was offered no satisfactory response. Tech One was clearly aware that I had an alarm, and made no mention of the removal of the alarm to replace the heater core. I DO understand that the dashboard needed to be removed to access the core.

On my last call to speak with [redacted] / [redacted] told me I can "Call a guy in [redacted] to replace it". He offered me no number, and no offer was made to undo the removal of the alarm.

I would like to resolve this matter professionally, without contacting [redacted].

I would appreciate that Tech One would compensate me for the replacement of an alarm / keyfob, as this also unlocked my jeep doors.

I have received a quote from a Wallingford mobile electronics store for $200.00 plus tax for the basic-level alarm / door entry system.

I think this is a fair accomodation, considering my Nine-Years of Business with Tech One.

I recently had my work truck in for a duplicate repair as the part they replaced failed. 9 months after the first repair, the cost for the exact same repair went from $400.00 to almost $1100.00. I hope the owner, Mark sleeps well at night
