Review: This company did not have the part available on the first visit to repair a treadmill. Therefore the part had to be ordered. I was told that the company charges the same amount for the return/second visit to install the part as they charged on the initial visit. Secondly, the part has not even come in as yet and my account has already been charged for the service charge when the repair has not yet been performed.Desired Settlement: I would like the charge for the second service call reduced. Additionally, I would like the charge for the service not as yet performed to be removed until work is completed.

Called customer. Credit customer for tax and shipping in the amount of $41.76. Believes she should not be paying for the part and service together. I explained that this is our policy. She agrees to have the work done as scheduled, however she does not seem to be happy with the outcome.

I am rejecting this response because: The owner proposed no resolution to the problem. First of all, the amount he is crediting me is not the full amount. It should be approximately $41. that they overcharged me since it was not in the quote. This money had absolutely nothing to do with my complaint. My complaint is with regard to the company charging me for the service call that has not taken place yet. As I pointed out to him via our phone conference Sunday afternoon, no where is it stated in this company's "terms and conditions" that the customer will be charged for the service call prior to the work taking place. I did understand that the parts would be charged ahead, but I am being charged ahead for parts and the service call.

I am rejecting this response because:

the policy of paying for the service before the work is completed is not written on the information given to the customer. I understand that the company stands by the policy but this information should be given to the customer in the terms and conditions section the company provides.
