The unit was originally dropped off to us for repair on 7/5/ The complaint was the unit was not cooling After troubleshooting it was determined the right hand barrel had to be replaced Unit was repaired and returned to customer Our day warranty was fully in effect
when the unit was picked up and had issues arose within the warranty period we would have determined if they were workmanship related or other factors The unit was not returned to us with any kind of issue until January 9, At that time I explained to the customer that we do have a day warranty but this was well outside of that warranty period The complaint on the customers follow up visit was the unit was leaking inside of the unit She requested we clean the interior of the unit at no charge and reinstall a gasket that was claimed to have been left off the unit The desired settlement is that we come pick up the unit, clean it and return at no charge The customer acknowledges that it is outside of our 90day warranty period This is in place because we cannot control what the customer does with the equipment after it leaves our location days should be plenty of time to put a repaired piece of equipment through the paces and determine if repairs were made adequately and correctly The customer was in possession of the unit for six months prior to any issues being reported We also did not inspect the unit due to it being in the back of a vehicle and not easily inspected.
