Response:

This vehicle came to our facility by [redacted] T. Referred my General Auto Sale ([redacted]). All of our diagnostic fees start at $95.00 hr which he agreed to and signed an estimate for.Reason vehicle came to us was: Diagnostic car won't start (we charged $95.00)Diagnostic performed: Found intermittent spark and a lot of raw fuel smell in exhaust. Test indicated bad spark ignition coil driver caused the no start also found a TSB (technical service bulletin) related suggest Replace ecm (engine control module also known as the compter) and spark plugs and coils we advised customer. We opened the ecm (computer) to inspect and confirm damaged ecm. We were able to see and confirm damage we advised customer of damages. Customer agreed to repair. Technician note: This vehicle was very hard to dingoes because it had spark to the injection plug and compression. We put a lot of hours (3 to 4hr) in the diagnostic, troubleshooting and research where we found the TSB bulletin that helped us determine the problem.Repairs performed: we removed and reinstall with a Repaired ECM and reprogrammed the key. We had to remove the plenum to replace rear spark plug and ignition coils (6 of them) (we charged $285.00 for labor and parts 836.72)Note: The ECM was sent out for repair twice first time it came back it was not working properly the second time it came back it work fine. Customer had two option we could have order it from the dealer back on a back order or sent it out for repair. He requested it to go out for repair. The total for this vehicle is 380.00 in labor 836.72 in parts and 71.012 in tax = 1287.84 [redacted] received copies of the estimate and invoice this invoice is still not all paid the customer did not want to wait intel the insurance paid for their part he ask if he would be able to pay 880.00 and we could reimburse him when we receive the money for the insurance co. and General Auto Sale was supposed to pay he 300 witch we never got paid for. The open balance is 3374.84 for the invoice.[redacted] spoke with Manuel about the abs light being on he stated the light came on after the repairs we told he it was not on at time the vehicle was at our shop but we can check and see what the code are we also told him that the abs light is part of the brake system and not related to the no start or the repairs that was done to the vehicle. He also stated that a dealer told him he needed to disconnect the alarm is not related with what we did or the reason why the car wouldn't start. We told him we can disconnect the alarm for him but it would be $60 the customer said he wanted us to get him a rental car or taxi we told he won't do that and he would have to call and get it if he would like one. The customer walk out and did not say nothing after that. We where willing to help him as much as we can but it looks like he try to get more work for free. Thanks,[redacted]
