Review: Mr. [redacted] arrive at my home on May 25,2013 to install new sound system that I had purchased. In the process of removing my equipment to properly and professionally wire the components, he dropped, and externally and internally damaged my Mitsubishi tape deck.(The front handle snapped completely off, and the deck now does not play. He tested the equipment himself and orally confirmed that the damage was done by his dropping it and promised that he was responsible and would have it repaired). The tape deck is an old, but expensive piece of equipment that when purchased cost approximately $600. He apologized several times thoughout the afternoon, and PROMISED that he would be responsible to have the deck repaired. He said he had a tech that he used in New Orleans that did very good work and he would have my deck repaired at his expense. Mr.[redacted] worked for about 5 hours rewiring and hooking up the components. He worked to calibrate the equipment and to properly set up the receiver to play music in the different "zones" that the it is made to do. He was unable to complete this set-up. He said he need to talk to the equipment's tech support to determine what was needed to do to perform the task properly. Perhaps, I would need to purchase another piece of eq. He would find out and let me know. Also, he would get back to me about repairing my broken tape deck.I paid him our agreed service charge, which I now see was a total mistake, since I had broken equipment and incomplete work. Lesson Learned! I have tried on SEVERAL occasions(for the last 7 weeks)to reach [redacted] by text, business & cell phone, email and his online request service. He refuses to return my contacts in any way; by phone, text or email to let me know what he intends to do with my damaged deck or completing his promised work. I find this company's work ethics to be very unprofessional, unreliable, misrepresenting and immature. I would not recommend this company for any work or would not pay until ALL work was completed.Desired Settlement: 1)Repair or replace damaged tape deck as promised by [redacted].2)Finished the promised set-up of my equipment, or atleast, let me know what the Onkyo tech support recommended to you so I can pass this information on to a trustworthy, reliable, professional service to complete the project. If Tech Support Services agrees to complete the work, I would be willing to discuss payment for a second service call. I am completely baffled at [redacted] refusal to contact me in any way.
