I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I understand in the business response that they will be forwarding this matter to their Insurance. However, it is not clearly stated that my request for reimbursement of the 1200.00 spent will be honored. The age of the vehicle 2003 and the accident in 2004 has no bearing on the fact that the knocking noise persisted. I want to be clear that we are talking about multiple expenses that Ted and Bob's has caused me in this matter.
First issue, I gave Ted and Bob's two oppurtunities to fix the knocking noise both of which totaled a substantinal cost. The second time, there was no reference to any warranty or the fact that what they repaired the first time did not fix the issue. Instead, I was charged for additional repairs to fix the knocking noise after which it still persisted. It would simply not make sense for me to take it back a thrid time and be charged for additional monies for what they would deem a new issue.
Second, the car started to misfire and we were quoted a price by Ted and Bob's that I felt was a little high for a tune up. It is not uncommon for a customer to get a second opinion which is what I did. It turned out that after the tune up was performed by the other shop, the car was still misfiring. The other shop discovered the faulty work performed by Ted and Bob's that led to a major repair. In this instance as well, I feel that had I taken the vehicle back to Ted and Bob's there would not be any acceptance of responsiblilty, which is why we are now going through the Revdex.com forum. If I am not being reimbursed, then I am not satisfied and their response is unacceptable. This point needs to be clarified with the business.

[redacted] Dear [redacted]:
In regards to complaint ID# [redacted] we have handed overthis claim to our insurance claim#: [redacted], and they will provide the information to Mr. [redacted]
personally if he will be receiving t e reimbursement he is
requesting.
Sincerely,
President, Ted & Bob's 66 Service
Our priority
here at Ted & Bob's 66 Service is
our customers. We were
very troubled
to hear
about the repairs done to Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle a 2003 Chevy Impala at a different mechanic shop for.
We were not notified
of this
issue until after the repairs were done to...
the
vehicle. Because of
the age of the vehicle
and the
car accident
it was involved in, some
of the
component of the vehicle
were weak, which lead to many
repairs. Each
knocking noise was diagnosed, repaired and road checked several times to be certain the knocking noise
heard by
our mechanics was gone. If notified of a
new knocking noise
we would have gladly assisted Mr. [redacted] with any repairs we may have found
of our
mistake. Our policy is stated to
our customers that if they are to
encounter any trouble with our repairs
to contact us
in order for us to accommodate further service, and avoid having our customer pay more than necessary. We will now notify our
insurance of this
matter and
emphasize to
our future customers the importance of the warranty they are given when repairs are done to any vehicle.
