There is never any excuse for a customer feeling upset or mistreated.  Any professional organization believes that it is the company’s responsibility to communicate...

key items very clearly.  Anything less can easily lead to customer discomfort or dissatisfaction.  This being said, I do know that it is not a practice for our company to take a credit card for the payment of an automobile.  It is also not a practice to quote a purchase price prior to a particular vehicle being inspected and re-conditioned (made saleable to our standards).   If these things were proposed, it was in error.  If the idea that these things are policy was implied, the communication was poor.  The vehicle in question has since been sold.  I regret that customer and his/her brother had a less than wonderful experience at our store.  It is extremely rare and we do everything possible to provide an experience that will produce positive customer responses.  If the customer is open to the possibility of giving us an opportunity to prove that such situations are few and far between, I would offer him/her any pre-owned vehicle for sale in our inventory for $500 over our cost.  We would be grateful for the business and the chance to show the customer care we provide every day.   Thank you much.
