9/27/15Revdex.comAttn: Ms [redacted] Re: case # [redacted] o- Ms [redacted] *** *** Dear Ms [redacted] ,Thank you for allowing us to acknowledge Ms ***'s concerns!We are always saddened when we have not met up to our customer's expectations We work diligently on keeping an "At" rating with the Revdex.com and have kept our exceptional reputation for decades!No matter how committed you are to excellent service, once in awhile you come across a customer who is disgruntled, make incorrect statements and are threatening.Ms [redacted] had our best crew on her local relocation from [redacted] to [redacted] She signed for no additionalValuation prior to her relocation and signed at destination at the conclusion of her move with no claimed damage or loss, quote: "SERVICES SHOWN HEREIN WERE RENDERED AND ENTIRE SHIMENT RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT AS NOTED I UNDERSTAND THAT ALL CLAIMS FOR LOSS AND/OR DAMAGE MUST BE LISTED AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY AND BRENDAMOUR MOVING & STORAGE, INCWILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS OR PROPERTY DAMAGE NOT CLAIMED IN WRITING AT THIS TIME."Because we are such a good company and really care about our customer's we opened an investigation although we had no liability or responsibility to do so We spoke to the Driver, helpers, dispatch, management and stayed in communication with Ms [redacted] explaining our delay and our response to her claimIt is unfortunate we could not satisfy her demands, they were not warranted Due to her threats, we did withdraw our "Goodwill Gesture".Thank you for your attention to this matter.Joan BrendamourClaims ManagerBrendamour Moving & Storage, Inc

When the situation arises that we have not met up to our reputation, we immediately try to resolve the problem and satisfy our customers to the best of our ability.Ms*** moved from *** ** to *** ** under Driver's Log #*** on July 5, (Please see attachment of Driver's Log #*** detailing her Valuation selection, her signature with no exceptions of loss or damage.) If Ms*** is claiming loss, this is a police matter and she should contact the police in *** and we will fully cooperate with their investigation.Attached is the Confirmation letter dated May 24, 2017 giving her various choices for additional valuation or insurance coverage.Attached is the email from me dated August 23, explaining her claim would be addressed in the order in which it was received with an apology for the delay.Attached is the email from me dated September 13, explaining our position as to why we are not accepting any liability. Also, the email offered a "Goodwill Gesture" of $but not an admission of liability. 10/6/The business provided additional response to the complaint as follows:"we felt compelled to address some of the inaccuracies in your review Records indicate that there had been an exchange of emails that explained that submitted claims were handled in the order they were receivedAnd due to conflicting information with the claim, further investigated was needed as paperwork indicated that services were rendered and received in good conditionIn the interest of customer service, a goodwill gesture was offered as a settlement could not be reachIt was only rescinded after negations failed to be benedictional to either partyWe have a good standing with the Revdex.com and would be happy to review the terms of your contract with you and themThank you for your time."

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  This appears to be a company that is simply unwilling to acknowledge or accept any responsibility for shoddy service, damage and loss caused by their employees.  We may well pursue the theft via the relevant police department.  But telling us to file a complaint with a police department over the actions of their employees is just another example of how this company is not willing to stand behind its services.  We have attached the most recent email correspondences with this company to complete the record.  It includes our feedback on their denials of wrongdoing. Finally, note that accepting their response would require us to accept their denial of any wrongdoing.  In other words, they are offering nothing in their response.  In fact, the token "Goodwill Gesture" that they previously offered has now been withdrawn because we came to the Revdex.com in the first place!  What's that say about this company?  Perhaps, of more relevance to the Revdex.com, what does that say about this company as a Revdex.com member?  What would happen if all Revdex.com member companies decided to withdraw offers to resolve disputes simply because the consumer happens to utilize the processes that the Revdex.com has set up to resolve disputes?  Seems pretty outrageous to us, particularly since this company failed to respond to our direct complaint to them prior to us filing the matter with the Revdex.com -- they sat on it for WEEKS without providing any feedback other than "we will get back to you".  We don't think it a coincidence that they (finally) responded to us within 24 hours of after we filed with the Revdex.com.   Regards,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. 
In reviewing the businesses response, they have now compounded the issue by referencing undisclosed threats as the justification for removing their goodwill gesture. I have no idea what they are talking about. In fact, if the concern is over legal threats, the documentation (emails) that we previously provided (particularly the one from my husband, [redacted]) clearly state that this is not a matter that we intend to or would ever pursue via legal action.
Regardless, the business is clearly offering nothing and therefore there is nothing for me to accept by way of their response. Everything they've said on the substantive issues we've raised has been false (including this new claim that we have levied a "threat"). It is clear that they will continue down this path of denial. As such, we will leave it to the Revdex.com to determine whether there is any value in continuing this process.
To be clear, as noted in our previous response, this company's actions in withdrawing an offer simply because we filed with the Revdex.com undermines the Revdex.com's processes and value. Note the differing explanations as to why they did this. They initially claimed that they withdrew the gesture because we filed with the Revdex.com. Now they claim it was withdrawn due to some undisclosed "threat". The Revdex.com obviously cannot control what individual member businesses do in situations like this. However, the Revdex.com does control the rating that it provides a business. This particular company has an A+ rating from the Revdex.com. If the Revdex.com's processes are to have any teeth or validity, we question whether that rating can be maintained given this businesses clear actions aimed at undermining the Revdex.com's processes.
