Review: Scheduled an apoointment for 2/** at 7:45 to replace catalytic converter on my 2004 vw touareg. Dropped the vehicle off on 2/** around 2pm. Called on 2/** around 10 am since no one called me to give me a status on my vehicle, they stated my vehicle will be next. Called back at 3pm now they said ghere was a mistake and they vrought in another vehicle for service. Said they will speak with the manager and call me back which they didn't. Called back around 4:30pm now im told there is no service advisor that can speak with me, after being on the phone for over an hour with someone from teddy vw who was not a service advisor I was told I will not get my vehicle back until monday and they were not able to provide me with a loaner.Desired Settlement: Get my vehicle fixed asap. Get bill adjustment for having to loose 2 work days because of their negligence of not having my car repaired on time.

Review: Car was purchased with excessive milage. In the contract it appeared with 3 miles However, car was given with 225 miles added into it. They claimed that the car was driven from PA, when after Due diligence we found that the car came from Staten Island and this was actually a dealers vehicle NOT NEW !! In addition they have not given us an additional key. They claim that the additional key is dameaged? Why? I guess the dealer may have damaged or mispaced the key.. And Finally, They also, added additional fees to the back end of the contract (can explain in person)Desired Settlement: Refund and make proper correction on contract.. OR .. Replace this used car with the actual new car I was supposed to receive.

In response to your letter on June [redacted], 2013, [redacted],

When [redacted] purchased his vehicle it was traded in from another dealership, we do this when we do not have the specific vehicle the customer is looking for, and although this car had 225 miles on it, it was a NEW vehicle, never registered or titled, and [redacted] was given this information. We also offered [redacted] an additional 225 miles on his full warranty, which we did. [redacted] also purchased an extended warranty (back end), but he cancelled it. The purchase price of the vehicle was $17600 + tax and motor vehicle fees (inspection, plates, etc) not $19300. Lastly, we do have a second key for [redacted] which we had from the last time he was here. He left without taking it and has not come back to pick it up since. In closing, we have offered to work with [redacted] but he has not responded.

Sincerely,

General Manager

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Deceptive business practice:

I was NOT in a rush to receive the automobile, nor was told that the automobile was being traded from another dealership. When I signed the contract it indicated that it had 3 miles. When I went to inspect the vehicle before leaving the dealership it had 225 miles.( see attachment) When I brought this to the salesperson’s attention, he explained that the car came from PA?(which I found a little suspicious) and that they will have the additional key ready to be picked up in a couple of days Once I arrived home I did due diligence and saw that the car actually came from Staten Island, NY NOT PA! I tried calling the dealership and salesperson to no avail.

In addition, the Financial Manager NEVER said that the full warranty was an added cost. The staff of Teddy Volkwagen knowingly deceived us by charging the warranty on the (backend)..

[redacted] has NOT worked with us to rectify this issue. He has only offered to give us the key that we should have and throwing in some mats!

I would like to have this issue taken care of asap and not be insulted by throwing in some mats! Really BAD business !

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: Teddy Volkswagen offered to take over my current lease of a 2011 Mini Cooper if I would lease one of their cars. When we were figuring out the deal they advised me that they would be paying off the balance of my lease along with the disposition fee and they had me call Mini Cooper to get the balance quote and to ask what the disposition fee was so they could figure out the price they were giving me for the lease on the Jetta. I made the big mistake of not getting everything in writing but when it was all said and done, they paid off my lease and did not pay the disposition fee. When I called them to check on the payment of this fee they denied ever saying they would pay it, denied having me call to find out what it was and they said if they ever mentioned the word disposition fee they were probably just talking about their own disposition fee that they charge. All lies. When I told him the disposition fee was $350 he used that to figure out my lease price which means basically he worked that into what I am paying for the Jetta...so basically I am paying that fee twice, once to Mini Cooper and once to Volkswagen. There is nothing I can do to make them honor their agreement with me so I feel that airing my grievances here is my only option.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay the fee they told me they were paying. I realize it was a verbal agreement and that was my mistake but I want them to honor what I was told. *

Sincerely,

Review: I recently leased signed a new lease at the end of July 2015 for a new 2015 VW Jetta.

At the same time, I returned my 2012 VW Jetta which lease had ended after 39 months.

The 2015 VW was signed at Teddy VW, the 2012 was leased through another dealer in CT.

During the initial conversation I had with sales manager, Doug Lee, he promised I would be given 'miles forgiveness' on my 2012 lease ($0.20 per mile @ 3,155 miles over ==> $631.00 plus tax on excess mileage of $56.00 for a total of $687.00) if I were to sign a new lease with Teddy VW for a new Jetta.

I returned two days later with my fiance to sign the new lease and turn in 2012 VW Jetta at same time. Upon handing in the keys to my 2012 VW Jetta to Doug, I asked him again if we were all set with any open balance for mile overage and he said verbatim "we're all good, nothing else is owed."

To my dismay, several weeks later I received a 'TURN IN SETTLEMENT iNVOICE' from VW Credit for $687.00 mile overage. I called Doug L** at VW directly, emailed Doug directly and Teddy VW customer service to explain and ask how they would pay for this. I waited over 15 business days to get an answer which was no; they would not honor that promise. Doug's excuse was that he failed to include it in the original purchase order and the Lease Turn In Manager would not pay this fee. It took over ten phone calls and six emails to get an answer let alone have them break a promise, I got several different excuses such as the General Manager, Ryan, was no longer with Teddy VW and being directed to someone else several times.

If I had known Teddy VW would not honor their sales pitch, I would not have leased my vehicle with them. This is false advertising on their part. Teddy VW is deceptive and I believe I was the victim here. I have all emails and phone records which can confirm all of stated claims.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like Teddy VW to refund my $687.00 paid to VW Credit as soon as possible by check.

Review: I purchased my Jeep Liberty 2008 on June [redacted] 2012, 3 days after I purchased my vehicle it was brought back for the brakes squeaking. [redacted] the service manager stated he CHANGED the brakes and roders the were never changed the roders were just shaved I have the roders in my house. I have alot of service tickets for my jeep. All with the brakes. My brakes were never fixed. My truck has 29,201 miles on it, recently in May 2013 my Calibers (in the front) went bad(locked up on the highway on Easter with my family in the car) (spoke to Jeep manufacturer who stated the car was considered NEW with the little mileage they told me to contact the dealer..I spoke to [redacted] who said Im sorry but we cant help you. I spoke to [redacted] the Service Director on July [redacted] who told me there is nothing they can do I brought the car a year ago (since then Ive called with issues with this car) and for me not to call them back anymore. Yes I cursed him...I have two lives im responsible for in that car...are you KIDDING Me!!! Am I under Lemon Law?? Im going to contact Good Day NY, Im on a mission today Im a mom whos fed up putting my childrens lives at risk every time I put them in my car. I requested from [redacted] at Teddy's that I trade my car in with NO additional payments in a yr I put over 3,000.00 into the car. Thats so unfair...Have you ever heard of that??? Everyone I tell my car issues they cannot believe it! So Im not staying quiet any longer...I have all my service issues and written all the times Ive spoken to the dealer and who I spoke to. Im going to make sure someone hears me, this place should be shut down and Im going to make sure everyone knows not to go there and purchase a car. The salesman [redacted] also told me the day I purchased the car I dont need my husband there to sign the loan I can forge his name (I also have a witness).....the dealer is all around doing illegal buisness. Im not going to stop EVER until this place is closed! I already contacted Help Me Howard and its only the beginning!!! I told them Im not going away and Im not, I stayed quiet too long!!!!!! Im taking both my children to the dr today Im sure my son should not breathing thisDesired Settlement: I want to trade this Jeep for another Jeep same milage and No More Money out of my pocket!!!! All I hear is Im sorry but you brought that car....I paid good money for a car that is costing me alot of money I can be spending on my children.

Review: The Dealar advertised on their website a lease of $159 a month with no money down for a 2013 VW Tiguan. When asked about a lease for this price the sales rep acknowledged there were many lease options available but claimed he did not no the specific options advertised. Sales rep ran my credit and would not share with me my credit rating, credit score, or "tier" that I qualified for, only stated I was qualified for "a lease" I had "decent" credit. After the sales rep gave me several lease quotes I inquired about the residual value of the car at the conclusion of the lease and was told they could not tell me. I received no specifics regarding the breakdown of charges even when requested. My entire experience was awful and high pressured. Sales rep would not take no as an answer. Upon further investigation of the advertised price I found a small disclaimer stating "36-MONTH LEASE. PAYMENT EXCLUDES MILEAGE" Very sketchy to advertise such a competitive price no where near the actual cost of vehicle.
