Ted's Marathon -B

On 11/8/12, 11/9/12, and 11/12/12 we returned our 2003 Chevy Impala to Teds Marathon Service Center for multiple attempts to remedy an engine overheating. On 11/10/13, I picked up the car and paid $654.89 Intake Gasket Set Upgrade. When the car again overheated only after a short in-town drive, we decided to try the local Chevrolet dealership for the 4th attempt to remedy the overheating. On 11/13/12, we took the car to [redacted] and described the overheating issues. We explained that Teds Marathon had replaced the intake gaskets. During [redacted]s investigation they determined that the intake gaskets had not been previously replaced. I was called to come to the [redacted] to see the areas in question before they would continue to investigate the cause of the overheating. Aside from the fact that the initial problem had not been fixed, I was very surprised at what the technician and Mr. [redacted] Service Consultant, indicated to me. As I observed (with another witness), [redacted] personnel pointed out that: Engine grime/dirt build-up on each screw/bolt and on the parts which were to have been removed in your repair, showed no smears or other disruptions that would have been evident had the parts been removed or replaced; One-time use screws which would have been replaced with new screws were still the original ones; No new silicone sealant was evident in areas that would have been required had the work actually been done; Original plastic gaskets that you stated were to have been replaced with aluminum gaskets remained in place and I have them in my possession among the items replaced by the [redacted]; Of course, the original complaint ,the overheating, was not fixed even after my 3rd attempt for correction by Teds. [redacted] replaced the head gaskets, the upper intake gasket, and the lower intake gasket and returned the previous parts to me that were allegedly replaced by Teds Marathon. The gaskets had signs presnet that they were no previously replced.
