STAY AWAY. Ted' s richly deserves your F grade and worse. I had the most disgusting experience as a customer/client I've ever had in my life. I bought 4 tires from him 2 years ago and after 22000 miles the rear tires were bald and showing wire. I thought they should have lasted longer and asked Ted about it. He said it was my problem because the wheels were out of alignment. When I asked what that meant and whether they were aligned when I bought the tires he called me a [redacted]. When I asked why, he called me a [redacted] and told me to get the h out of his place. He then turned to 2 employees and told them to escort this [redacted] out. I was completely flabbergasted to be treated like in such a way. To anyone thinking of doing business there I can only say DONT

Review: I took my car to get new brakes and rotors. I paid about $300 for front brakes and rotors. I was told there was one year/12000 miles warranty. After I left the shop a couple days later I was driving on the free way, when I was trying to slow down the steering wheel was vibrating. I was going above 65 miles an hour. I went to the shop and told them that the steering wheel vibrates when I slow down at speeds 60-65. I was told by one of the employees to bring back the car another day because they have to order new parts. I took the car another day the owner told me that they will do a light cut on the rotors. I wanted to ask him if it was safe but he constantly interrupted me and didn't allow me to speak. He was yelling at me and was saying "let us do our job" "don't tell me how to do my job, if not have nice day". All I wanted to ask was if it was safe to cut the new rotors. But he didn't let me talk. I had to keep quiet and let them do whatever they wanted to do to fix the brakes. One of the customers was there at the shop and saw the entire rude behavior of the shop owner. Later he sent one of his employees to have me sign a paper stating that they fixed the vibration. I told them I was going to have the brakes inspected by another facility since it was safety issue. As I was leaving the shop, the owner came out and said in a threatening way "We are done don't ever come back" and at the same time when I was in my car leaving he showed his middle finger. I was shocked but didn't say anything and quietly left and hoping that the brakes were that wouldn't needed to go back. But the next day when I was driving the car the brakes started making squeaking and rubbing noise, I called the shop to tell them about the noise but the owner hang up the phone on me. I tried to call a couple more times but my number was blocked. I went to the shop he locked the door and sent an employee said "we will not fix your car or refund your money, you can do whatever you want to do".Desired Settlement: Since I paid $300 and now less then two weeks later I can't afford to pay another $300 to another shop. I want the business to fix my car's brakes or refund my money so I can get it fixed somewhere else. I feel so helpless because they took my money and didn't fix the brakes. I am a teacher and I have three children I don't have time for these types of headaches.

Called had my vehicle towed in for a head gasket's was given a quote of $900 over the phone they start to work on the auto called me and said they will not continue with the head gasket replacement because he will not be able to get a warranty on it on that time they said they can get me a used engine for a $2600. When I went into the shop they had my engine parts in a box and put it in the back of my vehicle I ask him if I can have some of discount or refund of my $500 deposit back considering they did not continue and finish the job that I agreed to. At that point the owner got mad and called me names told me to get out of his shop and wanted me to sign a release on the vehicle which I say I will not do at this time. I have never seen an owner of a business go ballistic like he did unbelievable I contacted the police to come down to intervene in the situation because I felt it may get out of hand. The police told me that they go down to that place of business at lease three to four times a month and there's always problems with the owner being violent and rude to his customers. Warning please read the reviews on Google, yelp and the Revdex.com. You will see there is a tren about how rude and disgraceful this owner. Good luck!!!

Review: My vehicle was pulling to the right and was due for an oil change. I took it in and explained the problem. Employee stated he will perform an oil change, 4 wheel tire rotation as well as 4 wheel alignment. After he completed I paid the bill. The next day I noticed the car was still pulling. After checking out the car I noticed the rear tire was still in the same place (different tire than others) so I knew the tires were not rotated, and that the oil sticker stated no Change needed for 8k miles after change which I found odd. I returned the car to the shop, and the worker was extremely rude. I asked about the tire rotation, and was told he did 2 tire rotation. Instead of 4 which was on my receipt, and that the oil was synthetic, but I wasn't charged for synthetic, and the bill states conventional. And that he did not want to look at the alignment because they only had 40 minutes of work left, and didn't want to do it... after a brief argument, he agreed to look at the vehicle. When leaving for a test drive, the worked took off so fast the tires squeeled. Upon return he put the car on the lift and said that the alignment was off because I needed new tires. So I don't understand why he initially charged me for alignment if he knew it did not need it, just new tires. I feel I was manipulated, and cheated out of my money.Desired Settlement: Because the worker clearly stated that I needed new tires only after the alignment was completed, I feel I deserve a refund for that service. And I don't even know if the oil change was even completed.

Review: I initially agreed to fix my car at the Ted Tires business , the owner told me that the car wouldn't be ready until the afternoon of the next day. 1.5hours into the job I realized he was overcharging the parts and asked him to stop the work. I was going to pay him for the work he had done so far but instead he started screaming and insulting me. He kicked me out of the establishment and did not let me take my car or even check on the work that had been doing. His excuse was that both parts that I needed replaced were already installed in the car in the 1.5hrs the car was in his possession but he still insisted he needed until the next afternoon day to complete the job. This man forced me into a service that I did not agree to as I had requested for the work to be stopped and he continued to work on my car with out my permission. After asking him to stop the work the owner was disrespectful and threatening he proceeded to call the police and I was instructed by the police officer to leave and return the following day once the work was done. The owner locked himself in the establishment and closed all doors and curtains, he did not give me the opportunity to communicate with him anymore or have access to my car let alone leave with my car.Desired Settlement: If the owner would have stopped the work as I had requested I could have purchased the parts and take it to another establishment were I was not being over charged. I am willing to pay the 1.5hrs of labor he had done after I had requested him to stop. As for the cost of the parts and the rest of the labor I had requested him to discontinue the work and he forced me into the service when he forced out of the establishment and kept my car and continue the work that I no longer wanted. My car is still in his possession and work is performed on it against my will. I request a full refund of the work I requested him to not perform.

Review: On November Sat. 7, 2014 my husband purchased 4 tires , mounting ,balancing, and front end allignmet from Teds tire and complete auto repare. The tires had to be ordered and arrived on Monday November .9,2014 . On Tuesday November 10,2014 my husband dropped off his ford F150 so that the work could be done . On Wednesday November 11,2014 the truck was picked up . On that evening while on the drive home home my husband john cleary noticed that the trucks frontend was shuttering and returned the truck for the tires to be balanced a second time . Thursday when the truck was picked up ted told my husband that they worked on the truck for 3 hrs to try and fix a problem and to take it to somone else. My husband had to leave hus truck with me and take my car to go out of town for the weekend.I then called ted because my husband was out of town and asked what attemps had been make to fix the problems so that I could get the car fixed ted because extremely aggressive and verbally abusive over the phone . I returned to the shop on November 20 to obtain a reciept that was not given at the time of service I was asked to leave without getting the receipt so I had to call the Oceanside police department in hopes that they would help me obtain the receipt Ted still refuse to give me the receipt for the repairs and products purchased I have been without a vehicle since November 9th 2015 and the date is November 20th 2015 I will have to take my truck to another repair shop to fix whatever damages Ted's auto repair shop has originally created and I will be seeking restitution for this matter as of right now I do not have the receipt for the repairs purchased from Ted's shop and I'm requesting that those be mailed to me so I have them for my court records when I file suit against ed establishment I would like my complaint to be formal to see if we can't get this man shut down he does not deserve to be in business and rip people off thank you for your time and help Sandy ClearyDesired Settlement: I'm requesting that the necessary repairs be made to my vehicle f150 by Ted to another company of my choice I will not do business with this man no matter what

Review: They were extremely rude when I walked in. After the smog was done they asked for payment and I gave them my fiancé card. They ran it and said it was stolen so I called my fiancé and he said it was not stolen and that [redacted] needed to give the card back. He kept it and told me to get out of his shop. And presumed to call me negative names. We had to call the police because [redacted] the owner threatened to kill us because we wan[redacted] the card back.Desired Settlement: We want him arres[redacted] for threatening our lives and his shop shut down.

Review: My wife drives a 2012 Dodge Caravan and we needed new tires, so we went Ted's Tire to get two new front tires. My wife told me that after we got the new tires, she felt a vibration. She took her car to our mechanic at Alpha European Auto, and the mechanic told her that the tires are the wrong size and they were a size up from the back tires. Ted put ZR rated tires which are tires that are rated for speeds between 160 -185 MPH. They are not meant for a mini van more for a Corvette. When we went back to Ted's Tires to resolve this issue, we said that we wanted to also get the front tires rebalanced as per the opinion of our mechanic. Ted said that he was a tire professional and there was no need to do the balancing. He guaranteed that the issue with the front-end vibration was due to the rear tires. His recommendation was to put new ZR rated tires on the rear of the van. He said many times that this would fix the vibration in the front, and if it didn't he would give us a free oil change. When we told him we did not want any racing tires on our Dodge Caravan, he got very defensive. When we asked why did he put bigger tires on the van than what where on them before, he didn't have an answer. I asked him again why? His response was "obviously this is starting to go bad, and I want you to leave my store" I asked him if he was going to fix this problem, and he stormed off into the garage section of the store and repeated for us to leave his place. We did not get the problem solved, and we left his store feeling like he is just taking advantage of his customers. We had to go to another tire place to buy 4 correct tires. The owner should be responsible for his work, and we shouldn't be treated like we were the problem.Desired Settlement: Ted's Tire did not solve the problem of putting the wrong tires on the vehicle, and we had to go to another tire place to buy 4 correct tires, therefore, we would like a refund for the two tires that he put on the car.The cost of the tires was $201.00

Review: On Feb. 27, 2014 I purchased with a set of 4 tires, 3 of those tires were of the same name brand and one was not, I returned and asked for a refund because I was no longer comfortable in that any of the tires were as good as what they said they were, I could not see how its possible to not know that you are placing a tire on a vehicle that doesn't match the set, in so I believed that I was mislead when told they have a complete set of tires, upon returning the owner offered to give me another tire that matched stating that it was an accident, AND HE WOULDNT REFUND MY MONEY AND PUT MY OLD TIRES BACK ON, the owner then went back into the store and locked the door, I talked to another employee and he stated to me that the additional tire offered to be put on was not here and that they had ordered it and it arrived the day before. I took this as the owner knowing he didn't have a complete set of tires and sold me an incomplete set which to my understanding is fraud, and illegal. I called the police and they came and said that several time they have been called to this location for the owner having shady and unethical business practices, that the owner told them to leave and tell me that I could get the other tire on in 5 minutes or take him to court but he isn't giving me a refund.Desired Settlement: I would a full refund for the total amount charged to my credit card, and he can have the tires back as well.

I always go to Ted's Tire & Total Car Care off mission to get my oil changed. Today I went in for the same reason. One of the employees took my keys right away and went to get my car. The owner looked up my name and said "I notice you've only come in for regular oil changes. Where do you get your repairs done?" and I replied a family friend. He then said "Well, we don't make any money off oil changes so you can have your family friend do it." Then ran outside and stopped his employee from taking my car, handed back my keys and said "OK You're all set!" and walked away.

WTF I didn't know I had to come to you for all maintenance or none. Who turns away a perfectly good paying customer!? He was a total [redacted] and very rude! He needs to be put out of business!

Review: My wife was dropping my 71 yr old mother in front of store because she cannot walk that far

and the manager came running out and yelled at my mother saying you can't park here don't you know that

So I called the police because she was very startled with his yelling and the police told me that they are always going to this tire shop and dealing with this guys behavior

Review: I'm ONLY giving him a star because I have to for a review!

I have been going here for over 2 years, in the past 8 months we have spent over 4000 in needed service repairs to our 2 vehicles. We have been loyal customers that return but after today I will NEVER again take my car there and will tell everyone to stay far far away! He was nothing but inconsiderate and flat out mean and rude!

I needed a headlight replaced in my vehicle this afternoon, he asked that I just pull into the bay in the shop since I had too many kids to get out and it would only take 5 min tops! Well I didn't feel comfortable but did pull in outside the bay behind a car being serviced.

The tech asked me to turn off the car and just keep the windows down, then after looking said he had to run to get the part and it would be a little bit longer so I went to take the kids out and get them into the AC inside since kids sitting in a car on a hot day is not ok! He quickly came running out and said no mam you need to keep them in the car, I explained that I had to turn the car off and would feel more comfortable just taking them inside in the cool rather than keeping them all just sitting in a hot car. He said I was being "ridiculous" and for wanting to do this! He yelled at me to just get the "[redacted]( out" and that he wanted nothing to do with fixing the car and stormed off then sent the tech to close my hood & to lock the front door. He couldn't even have a decent conversation.

I took my car somewhere else in tears over how poorly I had been treated and the fact that I spent so much money in a shop with an owner that has no concept of how to treat people and as I told the other shop owner what happened he asked if I was at teds tires and said I'm not the first person to have had this experience and that it happened all the time. He also said he doesn't even know how he has not been shut down yet.... After today I don't know how either!Desired Settlement: Ideally he should not be in business! I don't know how he still is or what can be done but I do plan to follow up with the police department and file a complaint in regards to his actions at the very least.

He has no reason to treat people the way he does and is VERY unstable
