It seems that MrT [redacted] views are quite different from what actually occurredYes I am renovating my own kitchen. No I did not control the work flow of Mr [redacted] s crews As the customer, I have the right to request that certain things be done to protect my home while his crews are in my home working Did I answer the questions of his employees when asked? Yes Did I provide an air compressor for his crews to use? Yes Did his crew use my shop vac? Yes Did his crew dumpster dive and take scrap out of my dumpster? YesDid they take scrap carpet out of my garage to use as a stain pad? YesDid I care? No I did my very best to stay out of his crew’s way while they were working I deliberately stayed on the other side of the plastic while they were working I installed hot air vents that agreed with Tony T***, of Tee’s Flooring. There were two occasions where Mr [redacted] s employee Nick had some issues. On the day of sanding, Mr [redacted] s employee requested to use the dryer outlet to run his sander I informed him that it did not work He said that he could not work without it and proceeded to pack up I was unaware of the need for voltage for the sander Neither, Mr [redacted] , nor MrT [redacted] had made this requirement clear in the beginning I asked if he could connect to a wire that was temporarily disconnected, and he wanted access to my circuit breaker box I informed him that was not an option at that time, and he was upset that he had to use the wire I ran the wire to the outside, and in turn broke a window well cover in doing so Things like this happen on job sites so I was not upset. On the second day of sanding, I asked if I was needed for anything as I had other things to do The employee that was here (John), said no, but I exchanged cell phone numbers with him just in case, and advised if something came up or if they had any questions they could reach me on my phone When I returned, they were upset that I was not there to install a cold air return vent that I was unaware was being delivered that day It was brought to the site by MrT*** Who also had my cell phone number.Mr [redacted] s crew explained that they weren’t sure how I wanted it installed, but did their best When they showed me, I requested that they install a piece of hardwood between the back and the baseboard as would be visible This created a heated discussion between Mr [redacted] s (Nick) employee and myself He refused to do the work, said he did not have the tools in which to do the work requested, to which point I asked him to leave and I would contact MrT***.Being that MrT***s phone was not working as it had been thoughout this ordeal (he said that he recently switched carriers), I attempted to contact Mr [redacted] He came to the jobsite, and we discussed the situation Mr [redacted] made accusations that I was hindering his employees and then in the next breath was telling me I should have been here to install the vent and answer questions After which time, Mr [redacted] and Nick installed the piece of hardwood as originally requested I guess I am confused where I should be? Out conducting my own business, or at my house overseeing his employees? I also had a very frank conversation with Mr [redacted] at that point I point blank asked Mr [redacted] , if I were to let him continue, would I be sorry, or would he and his crew provide a superior product He affirmed that I would extremely satisfied, and there would be no problems We attempted to re-enter the house to inspect the vent, but his employee, Nick had already started “water – popping” the floor Mr [redacted] requested that we not enter the house and to provide a free and clear work environment for his employees As we were not residing at our house during this, I had to come to the house to open it and allow his employees access, and the return at the end of the day to lock upWhen we allowed to come back into the house, we found many defects We did a walk through with MrT*** We showed him the defects and areas of concern that we had He said that the sanding chatter marks “would not be as noticeable once we moved our furniture back into the rooms He offered no remediation for the 3/8” difference in the floor level We attempted to work with MrT***, as he is Tee’s Flooring, the company who we had the contact with Mr [redacted] s of [redacted] s Flooring role in this matter is a sub to the contractor Not the contractor of record MrT [redacted] never returned to reinstall the closet doors, or pantry door that had been removed I reinstalled them myself MrT***, never returned to remove the stain from the carpet that was caused my Mr [redacted] s crew. All work was completed on or about Saturday, May 20, 2017.On June 6, we reached out to MrT [redacted] via email (see below) In the email, we outlined two options that we felt were a fair alternative One provided that MrT [redacted] have another crew, other that Mr [redacted] s, come in and the floors, and the second was that we would contact one of the crews that we had come in and inspect the work that was completed by Mr [redacted] s crew and provide us with quotes for said work.As can be seen in the email, the average of the quotes was $5, This is more than one thousand dollars more than what MrT [redacted] is claiming is due to him We asked MrT [redacted] to call us so that we could discuss a resolution to this matter As it was, this matter had delayed the Kitchen Renovation by two weeks, since we had to get other contractors in to inspect the floors and provide estimates.Since over a month had passed from the date the email was sent to MrT***, and his lack of response, we wrongly assumed that he had chosen the option to call it square with the good faith payment we made him on his preliminary final bill.It was not until we received legal notice of a Mechanics Lien on our personal house, that we were aware of his intentions. If MrT [redacted] wants to make good on his contract of providing his services, we would be more than willing to accept and pay the remainder of the bill he is claiming for under the following circumstances:1) The sunroom floor is removed and installed properly(i.e level with the adjoining kitchen floor, baseboards are removed and floor is installed to sheetrock walls as should have been initially)2) Stains removed from carpet .3) Cold air vent in formal living room removed and installed properly.4) Floor is resanded to remove any and all “Chatter Marks” left by Mr [redacted] s crew.5) Also, we are reimbused for the drycleaning incurred of the dining room drapes that were not properly protected by Mr [redacted] s crew.6) Any other crew other than *** [redacted] /or any/all of its subcontractors/employees or subsidiaries are involved in said matter

We certainly have a different side of the storyI and everyone that worked at this project were made very aware that Mr*** was theGC of his own projectMy client was responsible for All demo, not most per his request and also to save money ( very understandable ) so guys were informed of
the project and what it details, at know point did Mr*** just let people do there jobs and an at the level of there qualificationsHe informed everyone when, how, where to do all projectsMr*** an I explained all processes to this project to Mr*** at all an every turnThe project had various moving parts and at times had as many as 5-people at the job siteI was never one time informed about any of his tools being borrowed or disappearing and our last communication I was informed Terry and I wouldn't be doing a walk through and I was responsible for cost of any repairs and NEVER did I tell anyone that's just the way it suppose to lookThe fact that ever project doesn't go perfect is not unique to any company but not to give my guys a chance to rectify and leave me hanging with a 4,plus balance is not something I am willing to acceptI am willing to meet with my client's and Mr*** and come with a final FAIR resolution which at first we were informed we would do and then that request was retractedI have in good faith done everything I know possible to correct
