I am rejecting this response because: This is an out right lieThe business owner offered to mechanically fix the "problem" directly after telling me I had failed smogThe owner also told me I would need to down load a program to the vehicle at no point did he tell me I simply needed to "drive" the vehicle to correct the issueWhy would he ask me if I was mechanically if all I had to do was to drive the vehicle? Also, why would I pay to have him or one of his employees to drive my vehicle? So at no point did he say that I simply needed to drive the vehicle to fix the problemHe offered to fix the problem using his mechanicsBasically this was a scam to get him more money by adding shop hours to a smog if I didn't know any better I would have paid the money to have some one drive my vehicle aroundI want a refund and I hope others are aware especially women and elders to him scamming money

On 08/12/at 11:am we ran a smog test on Mr*** ***'s Toyota 4Runner California license plate number 4y*** and the vehicle failed due to the OBDII monitors not ready see the attached copy of the smog testI advised Mr*** that he needed to drive the vehicle to reset the
monitors and to return after driving for a free retest within days from todays dateMr*** was also advised that if a check engine light comes on while driving that he could return for diagnostics and repairs if needed or that he could make his own repairs if he was mechanically inclined to do soMr*** paid for the labor and was advised that at the time of the free retest he would be charged for the smog certificate only if it passesMr*** left our shop and within 1/hours drove the vehicle miles to set his monitors and took his vehicle to another smog test station and passed the test as you can see from the time of our test and the mileage on the vehicle and the time and mileage on the 2nd test at the other smog stationMr*** returned to our shop to complete his DMV registration and get his tags as we provide vehicle registration services here and at that time demanded his money back and told me that he had just left our shop and went strieght over to the 2nd shop and passed the test which is an outright lie as the paperwork shows the time and mileageThe repair station that he went to for the 2nd test is not even a 1/mile from my shopMr*** drove the vehicle to set the monitors as advised by me and decided to go elsewhere to have it tested, he is not due any refund we are not a pass or don't pay shop.
