TEK installed our home generator system over a year agoShortly after it was installed it failed during a thunderstorm/power outageWhen I inspected the unit the outer housing was not assembled correctly allowing water to soak the internal electronicsElectronics replaced but they have not replaced the housingI have placed innumerable calls and have been told repeatedly that they were on their way to repair, parts were here, even provided me a time and date that someone would be at my houseAll turns out to be completely fictionLast call I was given the phone number for Kohler to take care of it myselfThese guys are completely unreliable and should not be listed as Kohler certified installer

response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.Your response is quite late. After attempting to contact Tek several times, leaving multiple messages but not getting any response, I registered a complaint with the Revdex.com. Still not getting any response, I contacted Kohler and found another contractor willing to come to my house to remedy the situation. Seven weeks later, with still no response from Tek, that contractor troubleshot the issue and was able to get my generator running on 8/31/15. Later that same day I finally received your message through the Revdex.com, but by that time the generator was running again.When I receive the bill for this service call I will forward it to Tek, and also post it here, expecting full payment so that we can resolve this issue.

We originally accepted Tek Electric's offer on June 10th to call within the end of the week and install the generator the following week. We have waited over two weeks, and he has not called us for an appointment. We have made several phone calls to Tek Electric in the last two weeks, and every one of them were ignored. We are frustrated and concerned since we have paid $2,000 as a down payment for services and the generator. We would like to be able to resolve this issue with Tek Electric, but at this point, we find it difficult to believe any claim they would make. We would like to receive our money back and will find another dealer.

Up until last Sept 2014 99% of our generator sales, install and service were Generac Generators. Last Sept 2014 we made a business decision to become a...
dealer to for one of their competitors, this has created more issues with the delivery of Generac’s product for both sales and service. It has created huge delays and challenges for us being able to properly take of existing customers who need parts or service with this product or new customers waiting for their install.
With that being said we have all we need to install and we are planning on installing the Hiemke’s generator later this week and I will be contacting them to coordinate the day and time.
