Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am being charged $above the contract priceI REJECTED the price I am now being charged when I rejected the original bid offerI consented to NO additional work beyond the bidBecause I was lied to multiple times regarding timeline, and what was included in the contract I could rightly claim far more compensationBut I am notI am simply requesting that the contract we have in writing be honored Sincerely, [redacted]
Customer signed original contract 3/1/18 for $34,248 plus tax. After realizing on 3/7/18 tax was not included, customer wanted to cancel. Tekline negotiated price to $32,813.00 including tax, which included changing the type of underlayment. This was acknowledged in email by customer. Email also notes that any extra work beyond the original contract will be billed additionally. Customer waited until the last day of the re-roof project to start his internet assault on my team of installers and my company. I immediately went to the site and inspected the work and walked through with customer. Everything was perfect. We billed an additional $2557.72 (including tax) for repairing or replacing rotten plywood, framing, and fascia necessary. That work billed was above the original contract amount agreed upon. We acknowledged in the email the customer references to, that there may be additional work, and the original contract explains how that work will be billed to the customer. Our on-site crew leader discussed additional repairs as work was performed at time plus materials. Original contract states bad plywood, rot repair, and any structural changes would be billed above the contract amount. We are willing to reduce the additional work total to $2,000.00 including tax. Tekline is not motivated to negotiate any further, as this customer has already damaged our name and reputation through his internet assault and false accusations. This customer has a great roof! Note: We have installed many standing seam roofs over the years, and not one customer has complained of noise until now. We also never give customer a specific time frame for completion due to weather conditions, or rot repair that can add additional days to a project.
I have tried responding with attached documents and itkeeps coming back "error"
