$90 is for uninsured patients who pay immediately. If you use your insurance then this third party person in involved. The insurance company determines what the urgent care gets paid and what their policy holder is responsible for. I have no...

control over what a particular policy's benifets are. If we were to give a discounted rate below what a patients insurance dictates we would be breaking our contracted in networks agreement with the insurance company. The $330 billed to the insurance company is standard rate. This will be greatly reduced by the insurance company and the savings pasted to the policy holder, our patient.
I did not make this system which is a major point of contention for everyone in this country

I was never told the $90 dollar charge was for cash patients only until after I recieved the bill and called to inquire why my bill didn't match what I was told I was told I would be billed $90 and whatever my insurance didn't cover I would be responsible for, I paid $80 dollars that night alone just for medications if I were told it had to be paid upfront I would have paid it, when I spoke to the office manager she conceded that she would speak to her staff as I proved that I was told $90 but all she said was that she would address it with her staff "not to tell people about the pricing" but she didn't change my bill and that's not fair

I'm sorry but we did not sell you the medications. I do not see how that is relevant. Again I understand your frustration but this greatly reduced rate is our attempt to help the underserved. This is not applicable to insured patients.
