Review: In 2010 Tempco installed a new air conditioner & furnace. Shortly after like 1 year later air did not work they came back and recharged unit. Again this summer air did not work so we had another company come and they said that unit was again low on refrigerant and also that the tubing from furnace to compressor was not proper and not changed when the new unit was installed. Also the A-frame was not changed nor the drip pan in furnace. Also that the exhaust pipe was not of the correct size and that there should have been two pipes installed and only one is. We are having the new company come and redo some of the work for a cost of $2000.00. If we would do all the work recommended it would cost another $2000.00

RE: [redacted]
Reference #: [redacted]
We were called to the [redacted]s in September of this year (2013) with complaints. Mr. [redacted]
([redacted]), went the same day the call came in, to talk to them. He had taken his dye
tracer, but could see the leak upon arrival. He stated he could see the leak, but the [redacted]s DID
NOT want him to fix it They told him that they had someone else come and charge the
condensing unit but, told him that there were problems to be corrected. Mr. [redacted] offered to have
our installation tech come out to correct whatever needed to be done. This was the last time we
heard from the [redacted]s.
Our normal practice is not to tear down a complete system and put in everything entirely new
as this would drive the customers price up. On Ms. [redacted] installation, in December 2010, when
we replaced their air conditioner, we did re-use all parts that were in good condition. We
replaced the furnace and condensing unit as requested, in time for the tax rebates.
We started the air conditioner in the spring of 2011 and in the fall of 2011, we were called out
for service. At this time, we added a tracing dye, which is a standard procedure to track a leak.
We recharged the unit and added a leak stopper. The leak must have been small because it last
for a coupie of years.
The furnace, as noted in the product specification (enclosed), can be installed with 1 or 2 pipes
2" or 3" in diameter. To the best of our knowledge, the furnace has been working fine.
If there are actual problems, we would be more than happy to go back and fix these at no cost
to the customer as it would be considered a warranty repair.
