In response to this complaint I have reached out to our customer and advised him that I would do a thorough search from the initial installation of new unit up until recent requested service. I found that we did install a new HVAC system in July of 2012 and per our detailed work ticket the system...

was installed properly and to manufacture specifications. The customer felt that the hard start kit that we installed with this system installation was the part that "was not compatible and exploded internally and caused compressor to fail" on his recent service call in May 2014. This is not the case and we do install these hard start kits in many applications. Unfortunately the customer did have a compressor failure and we did have to replace it which was under warranty excluding the labor.
Per manufacturer's recommendations -A hard start kit is designed to assist your compressor on startup.
If inside air conditioning coif is located more than 50 feet from your outside condensing unit, a hard start kit is recommended to assist your compressor when it turns on. You see, your air conditioner works like a pump circulating the refrigerant throughout your system. The harder the pump has to work the less efficient it is and the more likely it is to break down. A hard start kit helps your air conditioner when It needs help most, when it first starts up and has to begin the pumping process. The addition of a hard start kit will extend the life of your compressor.
In June customer called us and advised air conditioning not blowing cold air. We did send a Jr. Technician on the Friday afternoon (6/20) to check out the situation as we did not have a Senior technician available at the time. Our Jr. Technician performed diagnostics and was in touch with our service manager and it was determined we needed to follow-up on Monday 6/23. Unfortunately this follow-up slipped through the cracks in our computer system and as soon as we were made aware by the customer we immediately sent one of our Senior Technicians and he resolved the situation and customer was very happy with the technician, his knowledge, and the repair.
On Friday July 11th our Residential Comfort Specialist met with [redacted] at his residence and discussed in detail the original installation and that it was properly done and that the compressor failure was not due to original installation. [redacted] seemed very satisfied at the end ofthe visit and also signed a 1 year Energy Savings Agreement with our company so that we can maintain his HVAC visiting him twice a year to perform precision tune-ups and get his system ready for season change.
We sincerely apologized to the customer for the inconvenience of this situation and look forward to
continuing to service him in the future.

[redacted] from Temperature Control is my new hero! Our AC stopped working on Saturday and I immediately called my brother in law to come and look at it. He came out Sunday and ruled some things out and suggested I call Temperature Control for service because he use to work for them and spoke highly of the company. They were closed over the weekend but I called first thing in the morning on Monday. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and scheduled a time for later on that afternoon. [redacted] showed up and got to work. He figured out the problem and was able to have it fixed all within an hour. The service was great and the prices were reasonable, we even signed up for their maintenance plan. We will definitely use them for all our HVAC and Plumbing needs and would recommend this company to anyone!

Review: I purchased a brand new air conditioning unit about 2 and half years ago at a price of about $4,500. The initial installation was improperly done. They installed a compressor started that was not compatible with the manufacturer recommendation which exploded internally that caused the compressor to fail. The repair technician replaced the compressor in May 2014. A month later June 2014 the air conditioning unit is not blowing out cold air. A technician named Stevens came out but could not resolved the problem. He said he would talk to his service manager Wayne to discuss a solution. I have called numerous times to request to send their best technician and I get no call back. I have spent $4,500 on a new air conditioning unit that have had problems and not blowing out cold air.Desired Settlement: I would like my air conditioning unit working properly.
