we have been using Sal S[redacted] Temprite heating and cooling for many years. this is a professional company and from first hand experience they will stand behind their work without question. they take care of our two commercial buildings as well as some of the other properties the owner of my company owns. We are very pleased and recommend them to anyone that needs commercial or residential heating or cooling needs. they also have a great preventive maintenance program you should review for the safe up keep of your important equipment.

I used Temprite for a fall maintenance on my heating system. When I called for an appointment they were very friendly and adaptable to my schedule. The service man arrived on time, was very nice and professional.

Two years ago we were in need of repair on our A/C unit. After much research I called Temprite. They were quick to show up and evaluate the problem with knowledge technicians. We decided to replace the system which they handled as the professionals they are.
For the past year and a half they have performed the seasonal service.
This is the only company I will ever use for Heating and A/C.
YES Iwould reccomend to everybody we know.

I have been a Temprite customer for over seven years. They service my furnace and air conditioning each year. This past summer [redacted] serviced the a/c, and it it ran the coolest it has ever run. Just got the furnace serviced and it is good to go. I am pleased with Temprite's service and give them an excellent rating!

Review: I have contract with [redacted] for home warranty for my system and appliances. My A/c broke down on 7/20/2014 and I called [redacted] and they send me a technician from TempRite by name of [redacted]. This person fixed my AC and said you are all set. I don't know what he did. After one month my A/c broke down again and another technician by name of [redacted] came over to check. He said compressor is broken and needs to be replaced. [redacted] will cover it but you have to pay $540 dollars out of pocket. He was kind of rude and was trying to sell me condensing unit thru his company which I denied. And I was wating for him to come bck with the compressor. After a week, third techician by name of [redacted] (different than the first one) came with the compressor and said. Compressor is fine, furnace is broken and someone did the modification to the furnace which is not covered by your warranty and you ahve to pay $3795 for furnace and $1150 for other damages. What the first technician did, I don't know. So all three technician from same company said three different things. Now I am screwed and I don't know what modification first technician did to fix my a/c which worked for one month. And [redacted] is also not trusting me. I think the first technician did something to the furnace.

Please help.Desired Settlement: I want them to repair or replace my unit because they broke it. Thank you or pay me to get my unit replaced from the other contractor.

I used Temprite for a fall maintenance on my heating system. When I called for an appointment they were very friendly and adaptable to my schedule. The service man arrived on time, was very nice and professional.

Temprite came to my place a couple of times and each time has been a great experience. Each technician was very knowledgable and each service call was very professional and outstanding.

Review: Temprite was contracted to repair my central air conditioning unit dispatched from a warranty company - [redacted]. They came on July 6, 2013 and said the warranty company would not pay to replace this or replace that, but they would give me a deal to replace the unit. On July 9, 2013, I called Temprite about the brand they will be replacing my unit with and they said [redacted]. They installed a unit on July 11, 2013 but brought an inferior products brand called [redacted] and we argued about it being a [redacted] during the install. The unit does not perform well so I do know it is an inferior product. Since we are in a heat wave, I paid for it less $100 since we were in disagreement. I do not feel this is an honorable business. Also note, my unit should have been covered by the warranty company which I am currently investing. The total I paid was $1,495 and per my warranty I should have paid $100. I am not sure if they got paid by me and the warranty company - this practice is known as double dipping. We may even call this a bait and switch.Desired Settlement: I would like them to replace the unit with a [redacted] unit as promised and a refund of $1,395 which is the excess of the $100 service fee I am liable for per [redacted] if my inquiry with the warranty company says it was covered.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

One - No, I am not a constant complainer to the Revdex.com and have never complained about a company before.

Two - I don't care how much money you make, lose or break even with your contracted service thru [redacted]. That has nothing to do with my satisfaction as a customer, that has to do with your bottom line.

Three - My point was and still is, if I questioned the brand of unit you would be installing why would you not answer "[redacted]" instead of "[redacted]" which is a recognizable name. Chances are if you did, your customers would be questioning it and the cost. Maybe most of your customers do not think to ask before or even during installation and let it go.

Four - I received a refund of almost $600 from [redacted] about my dispute since I took it up with them as well.

Five - I still firmly believe I got an inferior unit and would like it replaced with the brand they told me I was getting - [redacted]. I do not want one that you say it's made by the same company. It is just a cheaper brand name to pawn off to customers. An comparable example - Toyota owns Lexus, Nissan owns Infiniti - Same manufacturer but two different makes and one is more expensive than the other. I wouldn't go buy a Lexus and drive home with a Toyota.

Six - I want the unit replaced, they can keep the money.

Response:

[redacted] is the parent company, owning numerous name brands, for the purpose of marketing select markets with the most common brand. They stick whichever brand name sticker on the units they produce usually with a marketing strategy in mind, sometimes we just get whatever sticker they put on the unit. The inside scoop on these units is that in the box they come with several different stickers sometimes. Sometimes they just come with one already stuck on the unit. My crew is instructed to use the stack of [redacted] stickers in their vans, and replace whatever is on the unit, if there is one on it at all, with the [redacted] sticker. The [redacted] brand is simply more popular in another part of the country, and [redacted] does not make an r-22 condensing unit that ever comes with the [redacted] sticker on it. It is either a blank sticker plate where we stick our [redacted] sticker on it, or it is a [redacted] sticker, and we can either leave that, we haven't had a complaint yet, we have been questioned about it, but we are a reputable company, ?and stand behind our warranty, and the clients whom have questioned this, have believed me when I tell them this, because it is the truth.

I promise I intend no condescending remark with this next statement, I am just trying to be clear. If we were to come replace that unit, with a "[redacted]" unit, it would be the exact same unit, manufactured in the exact same place, with the same exact model numbers, we would just be sure to put a [redacted] sticker on it.

That's all there is to it. I'm so sorry for the incredible upset this has caused you, that is why we credited $100 off the unit the day of install, just for a good faith measure. We would never, and have never, intentionally quote one brand, and installed another. In this case I see clearly what you are saying, but it is literally just the sticker. I don't think you would want us to bring the exact same unit but make sure we put a [redacted] sticker on it before replacing your already new unit. That sounds like a very wrong thing to do to you due to the severity of this upset we have brought upon you. I am so sorry, but that is the truth. It is the same unit in the box. It's just a sticker. I promise you.

Sincerely,

Temprite, Inc. President

Review: Temprite wrecked my ceiling while working on the heater unit issue. The workers pulled down the molding on my ceiling going to the attic. W First the service men lied and said that stairs were not properly installed and they almost fell down. Then when I called the owner [redacted] and asked him to please come see that the stairs are bolted in and in no way attached to the molding, he was rude and proceeded to tell me his guys said the stairs fell down and they couldn't even get down. I told him that was impossible and the all he had to do was come and see it, he said, 'NO/ He then continued to yell at me that he wasn't responsible for fixing stairs. I again asked that he come out and look or I can send him pictures and he started yelling so I hung up and wrote this.Desired Settlement: To pay for the repair of my ceiling and molding.

Response:

Dear [redacted]

I apologize for this situation and your frustration. I recall the phone call, and I apologize if I appeared, "yelling". I absolutely do not make it a practice to "yell" at clients. I make it a practice to show respect.

Regarding the topic, the attic steps:

My technician used standard procedure to utilize the pull down attic step access. He explained to me that when he stepped on the top step closest to the ceiling, there was a snap sound and the structure shifted. Upon inspection he concluded that when he put his weight on the step, a screw broke. Further inspection revealed this was a result of the additional screws falling out over time.

Summarized: The attic steps were not roughly pulled, pushed, kicked, or slammed. They were simply opened, climbed up, climbed down, and during this process, they broke, which ultimately damaged the ceiling and molding, probably the mechanism as well. Again, I am sorry for this unfortunate circumstance, but this is not Temprite's responsibility.

[redacted], while on the phone with you, you asked if I would come over to see. I asked if there was another way, perhaps pictures, perhaps a better explanation. You explained, No, the only way is for you to come see for yourself. I again asked, please try. Please try to explain what happened, and perhaps send me pictures. I will look at the pictures, then call back, and we can talk while I look at the pictures. You said, No, [redacted] you must come here to see. I felt uneasy with this. I asked again, Please explain, I don't know why my presence is necessary at this time, please explain. You said, No, then something like, "Why won't you just come see." I replied that I don't understand why you cannot explain, or send pictures, and it doesn't sound like something we would be responsible for. My man didn't roughly handle your steps, he simply used them in the way they were designed to be used. Which is: Pull down, climb, do whatever, climb down, close steps. That is all he did. During this process your unfortunately weakened from missing screws stairs, broke. I am very sorry, but we simply walked up and down the steps, and they broke.

I am sorry this happened.

Sincerely,

Review: As an [redacted], this contractor has been dispatched to my home. Most recently I called in a service request to repair my furnace which was not functioning. The technician who came to my home appeared to be low on experience. He said he fixed the problem and left. I asked him if it will be ok and his response was absolutely. Within a half hour the furnace was not working again. I immediately called the company back and was told that another technician would not be able to return until the following day. I told the company representative this was unacceptable, as the evening temperatures were going to be in the low 20's. I called [redacted] back and asked for another company to repair my furnace. I also requested that this contractor never, under any circumstances return to my home.Desired Settlement: I would like my service charge of $100 returned to me ASAP

Review: I had the company temprite of freehold NJ. Install a new Air conditioner condenser unit. the installation was done on June 3rd 2014, On June 20th 2014 less then 3 weeks, the unit that wads installed failed. all Freon had leaked out of the system.

I paid $1700.00 for this installation. when I called [redacted] the owner of Temprite to inform him that his newly installed unit has failed, and that I need a Service call gto fix the newly installed condenser.

[redacted] the owner of temprite of freehold stated that my house was to fare for his team to travel to do the needed repair. [redacted] stated that he would not come back to my house under any circumstances, that I should find a local A/C company to service his faulty installation. I argued with him and stated that the install was less then 3 weeks ago. and that his company has a 30 day parts and service warranty. he said what part of my statement do you not understand. I'm not returning to your home. find yourself a local A/C company to fix his defective install. Also that he will not cover any cost to fix his defective install.

Temprite owes me a total of $1633.00 which is my out of pocket cost in repairs.Desired Settlement: $1633.00 which is my out of pocket cost in repairs.

Review: On May 9, 2013 I entered into a contract with Temprite to install a furnace and air conditioner at my rental property. The contract included permits for which I paid $500. As of 11/24/2014, the building department did not have any permits on file. I contacted Temprite via phone and email several times to no avail.Desired Settlement: Permits or refund of the full amount paid.
