Thanks for reaching out. Sadly we really do feel bad for her. We have been working with the FBI to try and stop these fraudsters, but can't seem to get rid of all of them. What happens is bad actors will post a listing on *** or other sites with a fake application and claim to work for us. When someone applies to that property they will then tell them to wire money and then "TenantCloud" will mail them a key with their lease. We don't provide anyone with keys or rent any properties. We don't take any security deposits or rent payments. We are a software solution for landlords and tenants. She paid her deposit through Stripe (a credit card processor) and says she even disputed it and got the money back, but then rejected. She didn't send any money to us, so there was nothing for us to reject. We even reached out many times to tell her we can assist in talking with her bank to explain how this could be fraud, but she continuously declined and instead just blamed us.

Again we don't rent any properties or have any properties for rent. We are software for landlords and property managers who can list property and collect rent online, but those monies don't go to us or even through us. We can definitely assist in telling a bank if fraud is involved, but can only do so with victim's help and again she refused our help.

She applied to a company "Ritz Realty" and the transaction took place on September 30 as you can see her communication with the fraudster landlord. This landlord is not and was not ever verified, which means the landlord goes through a process of proving they aren't fraud. We are free software so have lots of landlords (over 500k) that use us.

However, she didn't reach out until after the payment was sent and then she no longer heard back from the landlord. I wish we could help her, but fraud transactions are a time sensitive matter and her lack of working with us to assist her in talking with her bank was her best bet in getting her funds back and she refused.

I really wish there wasn't fraudsters out there, but unfortunately it exists. We do try and help those who are victims and we are able to recover 100% payments if paid through our platform (nothing we can do about payments sent via wire) by working with the victim and the victim's bank. The is the only case of which once the funds were recovered they were pulled back, which we aren't even a party to the transaction. However I think had *** been willing to let us help her more she could have wont the dispute with her bank, but she refused help. Because we aren't party to the transaction there is nothing we can do.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:i found the fraud off your site. I signed up and found him two days later. When I sign in he is still one of your landlords.I did dispute it with my bank and yall rejected it saying it was a valid charge. I sent copy to your worker.

Regards
