Mr. [redacted] replaced the factory wheels himself to put on enlarged rims and skinny tires as an aftermarket accessory. When faced with an issue regarding his suspension, he was told by our staff that Toyota would not cover the issue under warranty with the aftermarket wheels that he had personally...

taken off and then put back on to try to collect the manufacturer warranty for his issue. In the meantime, efforts were still made by our dealership to correct the issue on the factory rims that were not taken on and off by our staff. We hold our customers in the highest regard and are the first to admit when our staff is responsible for damages to someone's vehicle. However, in this case the factory wheels had been tampered with after the vehicle was purchased. I do not believe that we should be held responsible for replacing the factory rims when Mr. [redacted] removed them from the vehicle immediately after purchasing to put on aftermarket wheels and tires. I'm sorry you feel we should replace your rim. This incident occurred in 2013 and we have done what we agreed to do. We had the rim repaired.  We do not feel that we damaged the rim to start with and will not further invest in your factory rims that you had taken off the vehicle.  I hope in the future you can see that we have offered you great service and gone above and beyond to help you with your rim to start with.
